Default Tavor x95 traditional pistol grip

IWI finally got in a new batch of traditional pistol grips for the x95 in April of 2020. I had purchased one a couple years ago from an earlier batch they had but it was a bad batch with irregular color match and more importantly a very poor fit. Many had mentioned the same on other forums and we were left to heat gun bend them and dremel them to try and get a better fit. I gave up and threw my grip in the trash. Very happy to report that the recent batch from Israel is spot on color wise and in fitment, at least on my OD green one. I much prefer this grip on the x95 to the stock saber grip.

Looks pretty slick! How do you like the Meprolight?

I’d like to add an X95 or SAR, but not interested in a CA featureless set up.

Not bad. I have two, one is the triangle reticle, and this one is the circle dot reticle. I prefer the circle dot. Also I bought the sometimes hard to find polarizer filter for both of them and kill flashes. The polarizer allows you to vary the amount of light coming into the front of the optic so the reticle will stand out brighter. Very important for shooting from a shaded or dark area out into a highly lit area. ie You are under a cover and your target is in bright sunlight. Without the polarizer, or an optional battery washout eliminator, the reticle will wash out in this situation.

I went with them on my x95 and SAR because they are the Israeli issue optic on these and i’m weird like that.

I think the hardest thing for Ca featureless on these would be the oal issue. Even here, x95’s have to have the extended butpad from the factory left in place to meet Federal OAL requirements so it’s not an SBR. You can buy the thin Israeli replacement butpad, but to install it you’d need a tax stamp, at least on the 16” x95’s.

Have a great weekend.
