Sure, it's a public land, but who are the ones that clean up and take care of it? We do. We need to keep the jackassery out so that we don't lose this privilege.
In all fairness, retired is a valued Riverside area contributor, friend, and moderator for CG, he may not have stated it quite the way he meant to...
...and I am sure the mods have to put up with their fair share of manure!

alrighty then....

time to resurrect this thread from death..

steel peak is totally destroyed and thrashed,was there yesterday and it was horrible...

we need to have another clean up...

by previous clean ups we will need at least 1 large rolloff,and at least 100 people.if we dont get something started soon the blm will kill this sight off soon

Wow that's unreal.. it looks like the backside of Elsinore where people drop off washers and beat up trucks...

Im not sure where either of these locations are but if I am available, I am down to help...

Default STEEL PEAK IS OFFICALLY A NO/GO ZONE FOR SHOOTER
went to visit and try and see if open this a.m. as it was open yesterday
2 rangers(blm) were turning everyone away at the entrance,citing rivco reg's and adding b.s. of their own in to boot.ranger 1 was a complete azzhat and rude to when i inquired what was reasoning.never seen this much disrespect from leo.

Dang, I just saw the other thread over in the Riv Co subforum and I was wanting to go to the March 11 cleanup as a final thing to help CA gun owners on my way out but I'll already have moved by April. I wish you guys the best of luck with the cleanup. I've enjoyed the ones I've been to in the past at SP and Bee Canyon.

Helped clean up there a year or so ago with a different group and we filled up 3 almost 4 40 yard roll offs...
I can imagine that place is disgusting hence them closing it

Closed to shooting forever thanks to Lake Elsinore annexing land to the west. That puts SP within 1 mile of a city limits and that puts Riverside County Ordinance 514 into effect there!

wow....i've been going there for the last 20 years. very sad. i remember those days when i was a "secret" spot and you could shoot across the valley without anyone for miles. sad sad sad
