What do you EDC? I keep a Fenix PD36R always. I use my flashlight A LOT! At home, in the garage, out and about. I have a backup EDC in my bugout/get home bag. Wife also carries an EDC Fenix PD35 Tac in her purse and has a backup in her bugout bag.

I'm a Certified Geezer, so my eyes are a little dim. Having extra lumens with me help.

My son always has a light on him. Me? Well, I carry a light much less often, mainly when traveling and staying in hotels or out camping. I do keep lights in my vehicle and around the house, so one is usually near.

My EDC light is a Streamlight 1L-AA, multi battery powered, light weight, compact but enough to hang onto and inexpensive.
It took some doing to teach myself to grab it, even in the middle of the day. I now have one in every vehicle and a spare in my equipment drawer.

After eye surgery and age, my low light vision isn't what it used to be ... and it is easier to use a flashlight than to use my phone (especially if I need a bit of distance). And it is impossible to use my phone in a tactical situation when I Need a Light!

Thank you for sharing Sir! It is a good choice too.

You're right! Traveling or camping or staying in a hotel, EDC flashlight is always essential. Olight Arkfeld UV with the advantage of UV can be said to be one of my new essential items to stay in hotels.

This product is also good, and Olight Baton 3 Pro Max performance is quite similar, but the latter will be less expensive, and the maximum lumens to 2,500 lumens. Anyway, both are an option to consider.

Yup, don't go out the door without my torch, even in the middle of the day.

I really like the magnetic charging Olights.

I believe I now have four Olights, two tiny ones that are actually quite useful, a single "AA" size that requires the battery to be pulled for plug in charging, and then a hand size unit that charges via the magnetic charger.

Make that five. I have a TIP SE that's great for pocket carry and attaching to a ball cap.

I've gifted several others. Most recently, I gifted the new rectangular light with the built in laser to my son. He carries that light a lot and actually uses the laser as a pointer at work.

UV is also great for illuminating Scorpions when desert camping. When illuminated with UV, Scorpions glow. You'd be surprised how many Scorpions can be out there when camping in the desert....sometimes I almost wish I did not know how many!!

My EDC choice of holsters has a holder for a light although more of a big penlight in size but I found one that equals many larger lights and it’s rechargeable.
