Interesting, even CNN says NRA donations are at record highs.

I'm not typically a joiner but the recent FL based NRA bashathon motivated me to join, and I think similar sentiments drove their recent record fundraising for other people too.

Rolling Stone... a supposedly artistic outlet spreading "agitprop" lies through the media to influence politics.

Seeing people who are supposedly gun owners cheering the attack on ANY 2A organization is proof positive they aren't who they claim to be.

Well, this looks genuine.

http://www.abajournal.com/images/mai...mendedSuit.pdf Read pages 13 and 14 for some relevant info.

https://www.dfs.ny.gov/legal/dfs/DFS...-Insurance.pdf New York at its worst.

Bottom line, NY and Cuomo are trying to starve the NRA of financial and insurance options to run their organizations. Rather like gun control if you starve the gun of ammunition. All the membership money in the world won't help if financial institutions will not work with you, or insurance companies will not insure.

NRA members need to retreat from companies that retreat from the NRA, and those companies need to be told that via e-mail, phone, etc. Am sick and tired of cowardly companies kowtowing to David Hogg like idiots.

Yup. The first link is cited in the original article and my second post. Seems like some folks don't have the wherewithal to read the materials (it's easier for them to troll.)

I didn't click on the link but believe Cuomo is pressuring companies to NOT insure NRA !
While this could seem like a smart move it will backfire in a big way for New York taxpayers, considering the NRA has filed suit and we have to assume this will end up at the Supreme Court where we have RKBA firmly established!

Personally I would like to see Cuomo and his communist pals exiled, much like what happened to communist anarchist Emma Goldman !
heres a better source than the one posted by OP !
https://downtrend.com/vsaxena/nra-co...ed-to-shutter/

As a side lets not forget Bank Of America and Citibank who both signed on to this agenda . If you haven't closed account at these institutions there is no better time than now!

Default Creating false hyperbolic headlines is also easy

Quote:
"The NRA’s inability to obtain insurance in connection with media liability raises risks that are especially acute; if insurers remain afraid to transact with the NRA, there is a substantial risk that NRATV will be forced to cease operating," the court filings read, claiming Mr Cuomo’s actions "will imminently deprive the NRA of basic bank-depository services … and other financial services essential to the NRA’s corporate existence".
(as found in the NRA's legal filing, this via https://www.yahoo.com/news/nra-major...195719306.html)

So, the NRA wax hyperbolic and then Rolling Stone decided to Turn it Up to Eleven, and next thing you know everybody has the Wrong Idea about what is actually going on.

Fake news is less real than people think it is, but people playing Telephone with Surreal News is going to be the story of how the first part of the 21st century sucked in new and different ways.

So it is a misleading article. What the **** says is that the actions of the NY DFS at the behest of Cuomo have imperiled NRA's ability to obtain insurance for either itself or its members, and may have impacts on its ability to conduct its business.

You could be correct on that ! just saying we now have a Supreme Court that does honor the constitution. So Im thinking either way the New York totalitarian takes a hit.
We have beaten far more entrenched powerful foes than this little s governor.

As a side we passed an opportunity to attend a concert at Carnegy Hall. Total cost for 2 was $ 5400 plus incidentals . I know its nothing for that city, but it didn't help then either.

The reason was Cuomo, who said pro-life,progun,pro male/female marriage are not welcome in New York! OK then .

I saw a couple Leftie sites carrying this tripe, The Independent and Mashable. They must be peeing all over themselves, imagining this would spell the end of the Second Amendment. Their stupidity and ignorance of the way the laws work is astounding. Our Founding Fathers foresaw this kind of crap, that's why it's very hard to repeal an amendment.

During the Clinton years there was some sort of rule that only media outlets were allowed to comment on political races or something like that ! regardless I forget the details that this vile creep and his henchmen came up with.

I do know that was the beginning of NRA NEWS. It is probably time for the NRA to get into the banking and insurance business!
Imagine the hit to existing banks and insurance companies if the NRA did that with a 6 million member (and extended family ) advantage!

Its my opinion smart companies should jump on the NRA bandwagon against New York to keep customer loyalty.

We all know Cuomo ! His anti gun pals are Sicko Schneiderman, Evil Elliot Spitzer of just recent history. Hopefully someone will did deep into Cuomo and he can join his soulmates in the private sector!
https://newsblaze.com/usnews/politic...ocrisy_131215/

Schneiderman was known to hit, choke and spit on various women.
It was reported he also had one Sri Lankan native call him “master.” Democrat activist and author Tanya Selvaratnam told The New Yorker’s Jane Mayer and Ronan Farrow, “He started calling me his ‘brown slave’ and demanding that I repeat that I was ‘his property.”

It is not that Schneiderman doesn’t have good company in the sicko department. Fellow New York City weirdo Anthony Weiner, former congressman and NYC mayoral candidate, was sentenced to 21 months in prison for sexting a minor.

Then there is former New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer. He was forced out of office in 2008 after being identified as the infamous “Client 9” of a high-dollar prostitution ring.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...it-wrists.html
ow disgraced Democrat Eliot Spitzer, 56, is being investigated by police over claims that he choked a woman in a $1,000-a-night suite at the Plaza Hotel near New York's Central Park.

Seeing how these high ranking New York Congressman,Governor and Atty general treat women. Does anyone have a question as to why they oppose private ownership of firearms ?
Yeah I think Cuomo cost be next ! Sick F

We( NRA) will do great after this lawsuit works its way through the courts.

Rolling Stone is far from credible, even reporting on the music scene.

It seems this story is part of their BHO and HRC comeback fantasy.

Maybe the NRA needs to self insure and go digital (bitcoin). Then the Russians can give it all they want (jk).

All my hyperbole aside I am hoping but not hopeful that the NRA will prevail in its law suits against NY and Coumo for trying to destroy it in a fair market place over political views. If they were to win I can only imagine the payment required from the NY tax payers to the NRA - that just makes me smile. And yes they could tell the NY Treasury they'll take bitcoin
