Default Saiga 223

What's an unconverted saiga in 223 worth nowadays?

Do a Gunbroker search on completed auctions and let us know please.

The CA price differential on these shouldn’t be as crazy as off roster handgun price differential, right?

Lol, looking at some of those gunbroker auctions has me thinking it’s time to sell an unconverted VEPR and maybe a Saiga. Silliness.

Pre pandemic - saw one sitting in Nevada BNIB for $875. Took a while to move. Post pandemic - probably 1200 or so.
In 2017, my friend bought one use one with AR magwell adapter without the AK conversion for $500

Considering the 20” barreled .223 guns on GB were around $1200 or so, I would think that a 16” barreled rifle is definitely in that $1500 range.

I picked up a minty 5.45 rifle last year. Paid 2x what it cost prior to the import ban, now it’s likely 2x what I paid less than 12 months ago.

Maybe in San Francisco, but not in Fresno.
Gun prices are commensurate with rent prices.
People that can afford to pay high rents are more likely to pay high gun purchase prices.

this is a fair assessment, but they have been on a sharp incline in price in past few months

https://www.gunbroker.com/item/896718327

Used $1500 here
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/889774464

This used one went for $2k buy it now
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/895471441

Prices vary but it seems they have gone up $200-$500 in the last two months. I expect that trend will not reverse anytime soon...

5.45 and 7.62 going for even more...

Interestingly, 7.62 IZ-132 is not selling as hard as the IZ-240:

IZ-132 (7.62x39) completed auction at $1387
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/891467311

But IZ-240 (5.45x39) are going crazy, north of $2000:
https://www.gunbroker.com/All/search...=1&PageSize=48

Alright, who wants to buy my tulip?
