Hi all
I have a low serial number Springfield 1903 rifle with bayonet and ammo for sale.
Rifle is produced by Springfield Armory. The barrel date matches the receiver serial number range(Serial in 400,000 range). Bolt is marked with H1. Action is smooth and bore is in good condition.
Stock is in decent condition, there is one line of crack that run on the surface of the grip zone however I had it strengthen by a gunsmith. Because this is a restored rifle, stock is not match to its 100% original correct configuration.
Bayonet is a converted M7 type. Originally made by UFH and was converted by Oneida in 1943. I've also attached a reproduction sling on it.
The ammo are 4 boxes of HXP Greek Surplus M2 Ball and 2 boxes of PPU M1 Garand ammo.
Both me and previous owner had shot it only using M2 Ball ammo, totaled about 120 rounds through the rifle. No major issues was found baring from old barrel band spring, causing the barrel band to walk forward when fast firing. Happy to provide more pics upon request.
