Default Any Calgunners in TN south of Nashville?

Anybody move south of Nashville TN? I Just bought a nice place in Murfreesboro. Will not be ready to retire for five more years so I leased the house out. Love the area and look forward to living there.

Congrats OP! I'm aiming for NV so I can telecommute but retirement state is still a tossup. Got 9 more years before I punch out for good.

The city's going to hell, and always seems to draw tornadoes. Good friend lives down in Nolensville and seems to like it though.

You'll like the state income tax , and free state, NFA/Class III goodies you can legally own there.

There are good parts and not so good parts of Murfreesboro. Did you get some land with your house?

There are several of us expats that live in the area. I'm north of you by a few miles.

"Did you get some land with your house? "

Got an acre with a view of a small lake. All flat and grass. Directly behind my yard is a wild area of trees. Very pretty

An acre is nice. You'll need a riding mower of some sort. I like my zero turn mower.

Looking forward to moving. I have a friend that already bought a house in Franklin. I have a great indoor range 5 minutes from my house but don't know about any outdoor ranges in the area. Don't mind driving a little, but can anyone recommend a outdoor range an hour or so from Murfreesboro?

I am a bit east of ya'll . Range in backyard . A few acrs of lawn , few of forest.

Not much on area ranges , I like my neighbors , cows , fun at BBQs .

Only problem is all the people moving here. A house stays on the market 2 days. Most bought by them folks from Florida, you know how they vote ?
Going to ruin this place too.

New neighbor bought house , 6 months later sold it for 50% more . Newest neighbor moved in for quiet , has not learned about the bear yet , her and her cubs love garbage this time of year. Oldest kid was kicking dirt clods after I told his mom he shouldn't , fire ants loved it. she was without car so I drove them to nearest ER , 45 minutes away. We are taking bets on how long they last . I said first good rain ( road gets flooded both sides) you can be here weeks without any power during winter. My bet was less than 6 months.

Oh yeah , welcome to Free Merica.

Check out the Nashville Matchmasters range in Colombia Tennessee if you are interested in Bullseye pistol. They are having a Regional this weekend.

There are lots of rifle ranges in Tennessee, lots of places to shoot and compete.

I've heard the real estate market is booming. Our house has already gone up in value. Thanks for the feedback.

Nashville Matchmasters range in Colombia Tennessee looks good, but I am looking for a rifle range with some distance. 300 yards to 1000 yards.

I know they are around, but I have not been to any rifle ranges in Tennessee except for the one at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma TN and Chattanooga TN

Midsouth Marksman have been running matches at Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) Tullahoma TN, COVID make have put a hold on things. Because this is a military range, the only access is through clubs that scheduled events, and follow the rules, set by the National Guard who control the range. The range is owned by the Air Force, the National Guard "rents" the thing. Rifle matches are typically over Federal Holiday's. I am aware of shooters going to Spencer TN for matches.

I have been shooting out to 600 yards at CMP Talladega, they also have a 100 yard dedicated range, a pistol range, a shotgun range, and a plinking range. It is 3 1/2 hours from Franklin TN, so that would be an over nighter in my opinion.

View from the Clubhouse porch just as the place was closing. Sunset provides wonderful colors and I waited till the flag was just right.

Wow, That looks so nice. Green, clean, and well organized. Looks like it would be worth the drive.

Don't forget to visit the CMP store in Anniston, about a half hour away, and max out your credit cards!

I had been looking for 16" M1905 bayonets, and the last time I was there, they had them. All refinished, I tried to get every year, and then due to the cost, had to pare that down. I will tell you, the bank account groaned that month!

I just looked what they are going for on fleabay, well got to tell you, someone is going to make a lot of money at my estate sale, and it won't be me!

You are? We should get together sometime. LOL We should have a meet at Bold Patriot Brewing. Galen and Todd could use the business.

I heard you got a new toy.
