Default Umarex Air Javelin - CO2 Arrow Rifle

https://www.umarexusa.com/umarex-air...y-airgun-rifle

So this thing is cheaper than a crossbow, and still capable of 300 fps? I need another backyard toy like I need a hole in my head, but this thing is just cheap enough I could talk myself into one for zero legitimate reasons.

Those are the very best reasons!

FWIW, there are other PCP-powered air rifles / arrow launchers that will generate over 450 fps. Of course those are more expensive but they definitely have the accuracy and power for hunting in states that allow it. (I believe AZ does but IL doesn't. I was going to joke about other things that IL doesn't allow but couldn't narrow the list down.)

I wouldn't want to buy those 88 gr CO2's... but you could get the adapter and use 2x12g... I wonder how many decent shots you could get from 2x12g.

Those adapters always seem to be out of stock whenever I look. I have the Hammerli Airmagnum 850 adapter (black tube, gold cap), but it’s a little longer than an 88g cylinder. It doesn’t fit in my Walter Lever Action and I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t fit in this air bow either.

Thanks. Just bought one.

For some reason the specialty stores (Pyramyd, Airgun Depot) never seem to have them. Maybe that’s just my bad luck.

I saw that too... I just happened to be pricing out 88g CO2 and saw that seller had ten units today... maybe that’s the last ten hahah... interesting arrow shooter. I’d spend double the cost of the rifle on the bolts etc to start shooting it.

Default AirJavelin review in HAM

Hard Air Magazine published a review of the Umarex AirJavelin in their latest issue:

Umarex AirJavelin CO2 Arrow Rifle Test Review

Might’ve been a costly read for me, depending on how the willpower holds up.
