Default Browning Buck Mark Camper- first 22?

With all the cheap 22 thats been going around and the new ammo laws coming up, I decided to buy a few thousand and plan on buying a lot more in the next few months....only problem is I dont have a 22 to shoot lol theres a whole bunch of options for the buck mark and I fell like such a noob. Is this one good or should I look for something better? only looking at handguns for now. thanks!

For on roster options my opinion the Buckmark is the best one.
Pretty much any model.

Off roster the SW Victory and Ruger Mk IV are better because of the breakdown options.

For all of the Browning Buck Mark, the only BM that I disliked is the Camper, because of its slide, which is very hard to rack. The other BM has a grove on the slide to ease to rack but the Camper. Go to the LGS and see for yourself, Get the Practical or SS for only 30-40 buck more.
(BTW, I owned two BM, Lite and Contour).
Edit: Adding the pictures:

Do NOT get this one:

Great choice. Pick any model that suits you. Different models have different slides. You can replace the slides between any of the current models. Not so for grips. My slide preference is B5150077 in matte black. There are a couple online vendors that sell all the OEM slides. Like Colt parts, they go in and out of stock

I just shot my new practical urx today for the first time, and I gotta say these are super fun to shoot. I had added the tacsol rail with integral rear sight, so I could throw a bushnell first strike red dot on it. Test the different grips. Get one you won't regret it.

OP - I just bought the same Camper UFX you're considering from Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore - they just had them on sale for $260 but they've since gone back up to $319.99. Unfortunately, you also just missed the Browning $75 rebate that ended December 31st.

I just put mine in jail the other day and can concur that the slide doesn't give you much to grab on to when racking. Will probably attempt to make something myself to rectify that slight drawback or just stick a couple of small strips of Grip Tape on to allow better grip when racking the slide.

Buckmarks are good guns. look at some different Buckmark models and get one that feels good in your hand. I have a Camper and added a metal fiber optic front sight. The Halo won't fit my Camper.

Great pistol. I've owned many and they are a joy to shoot. Mine pretty much shoot everything with few if any misfires.

Browning often has rebates for the Buck Mark. A $75 one just ended on the 1st. I wouldn't go for the Camper personally, the bull barrel makes the gun front-heavy which really isn't necessary for a 22LR. Really though the weight difference isn't enough to talk about, but the price difference isn't that big either especially if you're comparing the stainless models, and many of the standard versions come with upgraded sights out of the box.

I don't like Buck Marks because of the disassembly process and because they're pretty sensitive about light ammo, which is a bigger deal now if you small-game hunt as most copper 22LR is much lighter than their lead counterparts. For just target shooting though they're great if you can deal with how they clean. Decent aftermarket and good trigger out the box with the flip of a spring.

I've read the spring flip can cause issues with light primer strikes on newer Buck Marks so I'm not going to try it.

OP, I’ve got an early 90’s model Colt bull barrel semiauto 22 I’ve been thinking about parting with. PM me with your phone number if you’re interested.
