Default Lawyer recommendation for simple gun law questions.

I’m looking for a lawyer recommendation for the purpose of only asking questions about ca gun laws to get a better understanding of what the laws actually are. Thanks.

Cal-Bar practices in the area of gun laws ... maybe you can get a free initial consultation ... lawyers often do that.

How much do you want to spend on the questions? It might be better worth it to buy the 2020 updated California gun law book sold by CRPA and read through it

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Not trying to talk you out of patronizing the Pro-2A attorneys in Ca. Just suggesting you might ask your questions in this CG forum. Where there are many knowledgeable individuals.

https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/...play.php?f=349

Then if not satisfied that the responses are accurate. Then call Saul.

My guess is that OP is looking for attorney client privilege.

Start by assuming that whatever angle or loophole you think you uniquely have found is most likely illegal.

Then, before you act on one of your impulses that could wind you up in court or jail, get legal advice from an attorney with a real law degree, a license to practice, an office, and a firearm law track record.

Good luck.

Oh, and the Gun Law book mentioned above us cheaper than 10 minutes with an attorney and will likely let you hone your questions before sitting down with a legal eagle.

It has nothing to do with a “loophole” i found. It has to do with complicated questions regarding my mother moving from texas, but thank you for your response.

The general info on gun-related requirements for those who move to CA are at the wiki, http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/in..._with_firearms

One may choose to establish a CFARS account and do the registration on line. https://cfars.doj.ca.gov/login.do
