Got to awfully nice Swiss army knife made by a victorinox on eBay. I believe it's the model called the Recruit. Forgot how nice it is to carry one of these everyday.

I have found that my favorite knife to carry is actually just a plain Swiss army knife. I use the more basic ones. Just four blades is all I really need I have found. And they don't freak people out when you pull one out in public

I wish I had kept better track of the Swiss Army Boy Scout Knife my dad gave me years ago when I earned my Eagle Scout. It was a nice knife, but unfortunately got lost somewhere between moving to California and a couple of deployments. My dad has always carried a Swiss army knife of some variation. I have even seen him use the tweezers and toothpick!

Pena Apache, Fat carbon edition. I'm loving this knife, I don't usually like smaller knifes but this thing is awesome.

I have been carrying a Kershaw Dividened S35VN. American made, S35VN and under $100 delivered. I like it enough to add one in M390.
I used to be a Benchmade guy until they came out as anti-gun, and my favorite knives are Ferrum Forge designed Crux and Gent made by We, but F China. I have a PM2 in S35VN, but the Dividend is just about the perfect size and weight for an EDC that you can use, abuse, and lose. |

It's all about the Benchmade Bugout Mini!
Although I hate the G10 white scales the DLC coated blade version comes with. After only a few weeks use the white was more of a grey... picks up dirt real easy. Eventually I'll spring for some nice titanium scales, or at least a different color G10... |

I carry it when I don't think I should carry the XM-18 or when the XM-18 would be way too heavy. If I need to go under 2.5", I go with my Fox Vox Suru frame lock knife. It is just gorgeous. 2.3" blade. |

Super lightweight and still pretty strong. I don't experience the scale flex that the full sized bugout owners seem to face, although you probably shouldn't be prying things with a knife this small anyway. That Axis lock is crazy strong. The blade will break before you break that Axis lock, undoubtably. I think it's far stronger than a frame lock, and pretty much anything else out there. Best part is how easy it flicks open/shut, and you don't need to have your fingers in the way of the blade when closing like some locking mechanisms do. |

I haven't researched the strength of locking mechanisms, but I would have bet the frame locks on my XM-18 and Suru are stronger than the Axis lock, but I would be happy to be wrong in this case! The Benchmade Axis knives are just so light and easy to open and close! |
