Freedom weeks mags for AR. D60's
Are you using them every time you go target practice or did you lose them is a boating accident?

Why would you need to lose them in a boating accident? If they were legal during Freedom Week, they are legal now.

If you legally obtained them during freedom week, then as of right now they are still currently legal to own and use until further notice.

Not that I need them now. But if/when it happens, get them asap. I bought a dozen locally on Monday and Tuesday and very few people were in the gun stores, by Friday it looked like this:

60 round magazines cost so much I’ve never really seen the point. You can typically purchase 3-6 quality 40 round magazines for the price of a 60.

I remember awhile back when there was a guy who had his drum/s and standard cap magazines confiscated in Socal when he was shooting on BLM land and ended up getting them back. Also after that a memo was put out that it was perfectly legal to own and use. Like the guy who got his stuff back its all on the LEO you encounter and however that situation plays out. I've never once been harrasssed nor do I pay attention how many rounds the people around me shoot.

practically, I have never used my d60 or xm15 drums..... they take forever to load and are heavy as hell
i have lots of 30 rounders though, and they load fast with the lula speed loader

Of all the mags I bought during freedom week, the ones I regret most are the drums (and a few cheap promag CZ ones).
1 Romanian ak drum, 1 KCI glock drum. Both are bulky to store/carry in range bag, and very heavy even unloaded, and overpriced. 2x 33 round Glock mags or 3x 30 round AK mags are much better. And while I didn’t buy one, the Magpul 5.56 drum probably gets beaten by 2 regular Magpul pmags. 2x 40 round pmags would beat a 60 round drum. I do regret not buying more of the 40 round pmags. 😐
