Default CZ Tactical Sports 2

Yup, an entirely new handgun from CZ.

Nope, I can't find a picture of it. Yet.

I don't think it will be a warmed over Tactical Sport with a different color scheme or different grips. Probably as different as Shadow 2 is from SP-01 Shadow, and as different as Bren 2 from Bren 805. CZ seems to use the "2" designation for entirely different, usually upgraded guns.

Beanz2, are you still in your own Private Idaho?

I’m thinking of Utah, but it seems Dems are infiltrating Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas.

No, northern NV for now. Looking at 2nd home in AZ closer to our daughter and Front Sight, like a fat chick sitting across from the buffet table LOL.

Yeah, that’s been disappointing. But Dan Wesson is a different company subdivision from CZ-UB.

They’re giving us time to accumulate enough P-10F magazines, I guess

Northern Nevada has lots of hunting grounds. Should be lots of Mule deer. I supposed if you’re near Elko, then there is lots of life in the area.

Not announced yet. It looks like there are three tiers for now, base TS2, TS2 Racing Green, and TS2 Deep Bronze. The Deep Bronze is said to have hand fitted parts, like the TSO does. CZ typically introduces a new handgun model with the top of the line offered at a later point. Who knows if they changed this approach.

Not on their website. I'm guessing some time later they would.

That is the standard TSO rear sight. The foot print is too small for a red dot. I'm betting that an Optic Ready model will follow eventually.

Usually that is reserved for their top of the line Orange model. As in the SP-01 Shadow, Shadow 2 and the original Tactical Sport, that comes a couple years later after introduction.

If Maria Guschina gets a Shadow 2 model named after her, I wonder if Eric Grauffel will get his? Maybe if he wins a big world championship. But the Tanfoglio already has an Eric Grauffel model.

Some discussions on differences on the currently offered models here:

CZ already anticipates that you can look forward to the launch of even more CZ TS 2 models in the next future. The TS 2 series is chambered in 9mm, but will also be available in .40 S&W soon.

Someone posted European prices on FB.

TS2 (Basic model) 1889 Eur = $2238 USD
TS2 Racing Green 2205 Eur = $2612 USD
TS2 Deep Bronze 2850 Eur = $3376 USD

The CZ Czechmate sells for $3125 at CZ Custom
Imagine what the Czechmate 2 would sell for . . .

Wow, that $$$ for a CZ?
Not that I dont think CZs are great, I had a few and they were wonderful. But part of their appeal was getting a well build gun at affordable prices, at least that was a few years ago. Now I see people buying stock CA roster CZs for almost $1,000 ???
Then comes these fancy CZs. Their marketing and hype machine is world class.

Another pricing info from Austria:

A bit cheaper, but who knows what the US pricing will be... (yes, available there on the last 2 weeks of 2020)

Interestingly the basic and the Racing Green models are priced lower than the TSO.

I know, right? They get excited about a Porsche when they’ve never even raced a go kart. Sheesh.

<- obligatory emoji as many Calgunners cannot discern one’s tone from the written words.

I waited months for the 2020 Camaro ZL1 in rally green. When the big day finally came to buy my new car, I stared at that beautiful beast sitting in the lot for hours. Finally, they called me back into the sales office and handed me the keys to my brand new certified pre-owned prior rental Chevy Cruze. It had 94,000 miles on it, but the dealer assured me that it was just getting broken in. As I am a loyal customer, they threw in a brand new set of reconditioned tires and the “platinum preferred” financing rate of 11% for 84 months.

With the premium high end driving experience of the Cruze, I frankly forgot all about the Camaro. Looking back now, the Cruze has a much smaller carbon footprint and Camaros are basically douchemobiles.

The TS2 as currently configured makes no sense to me.

It's obviously made for competitive shooters, but doesn't offer what competitive shooters want and need for some of the different classes.

One model looks fine for Production. So there's no problem there.

The other model comes with a magwell and gas pedal. Yet the slide isn't cut for optics. You can't use it in Limited because of the gas-pedal. You can't use it in Carry Optics or Open because it has no optics cut. It has no rail so you can't easily attach a mount unless they offer a combo gas-pedal/bolt-on-mount.

I guess we'll have to wait for the release to find out what accessories they offer. Then it might make more sense.

I like the design of the safety and the trigger looks like their SA trigger. Both of those features are nice. Unfortunately it looks like the front sight uses a .04" rod instead of a .06" rod which I prefer.
