Default Del Mar Gun Show

A controversial gun show is set to return to Del Mar in March, after the board that overseas the Del Mar Fairgrounds approved the return of the Crossroads of the West Gun Show.

The Crossroads of the West website has a new post on their front page that reads, "Breaking News! DEL MAR GUN SHOW RETURNS MARCH 14TH – 15TH"

"A Federal Court Judge ruled that the Crossroads of the West Gun Show must be permitted to continue until the court issues a final ruling on the Constitutional issues being raised by Crossroads, California Rifle and Pistol Association, NRA, Second Amendment Foundation and several other plaintiffs. Crossroads of the West President Tracy Olcott announced that the Del Mar Gun Show will resume on March 14-15 with another show to follow May 16-17."

I will go, if for no other reason than just to snub my nose at the Board and support the show.

As much as I dislike Crossroads shows, I might have to attend this one to show support.
(I will not be bringing back any jerky.)

And visit some North County brewpubs.

I went to the Del Mar show in December and I will be attending this one as well. I spent several hours at the last show and I didn't see anyone selling beef jerky. Maybe I missed it?

I did get fitted for a set of custom ear plugs from Ear Armor. Best thing I've bought in a long time, I no longer have to wear the cheap foamies which always irritate my ears.

Clearly that is the latest shrill panic they are pushing.

I had stopped going because they’re not great shows but I went to the last and will go to all of them until they close the doors now just to pump the numbers.

No protesters at the last one until I left midday. They were all by that big intersection instead of the parking lot entrance. Must be nice to have that much free time.

I wonder if they could find someplace appropriate in lakeside? I don’t think the lakeside rodeo grounds are big enough though.

Del Mar supplies a "protest zone" right at the entrance. I've never seen anyone there. These cheap @ss protestors don't want to pay the 15 bucks for parking. So they sit at the corner of Jimmy Durante Blvd. They are easy targets for a tomato or two.

Default Waste of time and effort

First you have to pay for parking then pay the entrance fee before you've even managed to see the overpriced ammo, holsters, accessories. Last visit I decided never to visit the "Crossroads Gunshow" again and the lines to enter were 30 minutes or more..I'll go elsewhere or buy online

I will be going to this one. I don't really need anything, but I am sure I will find something to spend money on.

I haven't been in years. People protest now? That makes me want to go even more.

I worked there a few times with my local... even some of the security guards give us a hard time. They wont even let us bring our own drinks and snacks inside the venue lol

If I am in the area I'll go to show my support.

Cheers,

Default Fox 5 Del Mar city council meeting

So a woman at the meeting holds up a pistol slide taped to an unfinished frame.

With her finger where a trigger would be she holds the items up and says “ this is a ghost gun that was sold to one of our undercover people without any background check”.

Councilman says “we can’t have you waving a gun around here”.

Woman says “this isn’t a gun”.

Vid below.

I feel the same way but, I would love to get into it with some protesters, so... after I recover from San Diego Shamrock... I'm there.

The city of Del Mar is trying to ban the sales of 80% lowers at this show. I don't know if they have suck-ceded or not.

Even though I no longer enjoy gun shows, even here in Utah, this one in Del Mar would be worth it if the protesters and media were on site..

Haven’t gone in years. I’ll be there this weekend.

That “ghost gun, not a gun” looks sweet!

And yet they don't plan to "postpone" the DNC convention. The show must go on.
