Of course Golden Eye tops everyone's list but my top 3 other than Golden Eye would be...

Starfox 64 - I want the old multiplayer mode with the foot soldier, tank, and airplane
Crimson Skies - One of my all time favorite online multiplayer games ever
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - I love this game and can't get enough of it

I was a flight sim but years ago.

Janes F/A 18 was awesome. Would love to see that built with modern PC capabilities.

Falcon 4 was/is a complete classic. Still is a great sim but it could also be brought to current day's tech.

Wow, you guys have such a diverse package of games. I have been obsessed on only two games. They simply were the ones i took an instant liking to. I started with Golden Eye, where I played for a long time until I found League of Legends. As it turned out later , this is a second-to-none thing. I had a bee on my bonnet about it hours on end. The only thing I was worried about was how to quickly develop my character so that I could take more difficult levels. I was advised by a user I met in the game to go for it at lol elo boost as he did. From the word go I did it and - hands down - it was the best solution for that moment.

Any of the Quake series, Hexan, Heretic and Descent. All for PC.

Caveat is I want the CD. I see a new Quake is available but it is a download from some service.

And of course video in 4K.

Name your top 3 games you'd like to see remade into a modern version. Any platform (I'm really only familiar with Nintendo and PS, so that's my limit). I guess runners up if you've got more than three.

I'll go first:
  • Killer Insticts (Hopefully licensed to consoles besides Nintendo) Ultraaaaaa...Combo!
  • Kingdom Hearts (Remake pending apparently, PS4)
  • Xenogears

Runners up:

Bonus points: Recommend something modern you think the poster above you might enjoy (based on their remake wishlist)

GO!

Oh man I loved XenoSaga. The XenoGears sequels were a travesty and could have been so good.

In trying to come up with three, I'm realizing that a lot of the games I'd choose have already been remade (OFP:CWC campaign in ArmA 3), are currently being remade (MFS), or have "spiritual successors" (Red Storm Rising = Cold Waters). Also, some of the games I'd love to see remade I probably wouldn't play because I no longer have that kind of time (Falcon 4.0).
  1. Interstate '76 (PC, 1997)
  2. SimEarth (PC, 1990)
  3. SWAT 4 (PC, 2005)

Recommendations for pacrat based on his list:
Warlords?.....Asteroids Deluxe?.....Millipede?......Q*bert?

1. Star Wars: Republic Commando (2005)- Bonus points if they could incorporate some of the newer concepts introduced into Star Wars in the years since the games release, such as droid commando's, Phase II/customized clone trooper armor, and expansions of how much the Geonosian cultures changed.

2. Call of Duty: World at War (2008) -This and Modern Warfare II were the high water marks of the CoD franchise, and frankly I would love to see the game remastered and thrown back out to the next generation of gamer's to see just how visceral a sensation playing the game for the first time felt.

3. Company of Heroes (2006)- I'll admit even with the advent of Company of Heroes 2 and the ongoing updates to the Blitzkrieg Mod, I would still love to see the original game get a remaster as well.

The earlier Grand Theft Autos
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2
The earlier Battlefields, BF 1942 thru BF2 ... before the super customization and back when healing a teammate earned you 0.5 exp and neutralizing/capping a flag earned you 2 exp

But frankly, I am OVER remakes, reboots, and remasters. I just wish we'd see more original content from the big name developers. Not Call of Duty 10, Assassin's Creed 9, Final Fantasy 99, etc

I can agree with you on everything, except Final Fantasy. I would LOVE to see a new FF, but in the tradition of the older turn-based battle system. I can't stand the newer real time battle system. FF IX was the last really good one, aside of course from the remake of VII.

I had a pre-release version of Soldier of Fortune II, you could shoot limbs off and the person would wave the stump around screaming spraying blood before dying, head shot someone and you hear them gurgle as they drop. shotgun blast to the torso results in a pile of guts falling out, pretty intense.

Taipan
Wizardry series
Ultima series
Bard's Tale series
AutoDuel
Galactic Adventures

There is only one game that I would love to see remade or continued been lots of talk over the years for it but nothing. The Legend of the Dragoon such a great story cinematics where excellent and even though it was turn based combat was still excellent. Just my opinion
