Default What are your "Top 10 books"

You can take 10 books with you when you bug out. Whether they are on paper or Kindles or whatever, what are your top 10 books?

I am struggling with this as I have so many I would want to have for reference at where ever I would settle to rebuild.

For me, it is not the top 10 to survive but the top 10 to live. So again, for me, it would not be the bush craft, survival, how to fish or prepare game but rather what to do there after.

What would be yours?

The Bible. The next 9 are meaningless without the first.

Machinery's Handbook would be on my list. Loads, spans, capacities and lots of formulas applicable to many things.

I have tons of books, reference materials, etc on my kindle, so the 10 Book limit is artificial' either they all make it or none will. That said my highest priority (in order) would be:

The Holy Bible
Ball Complete Guide to Home Preserving Recipe Book
Carrots Love Tomatoes:Companion Planting for Successful Gardening
The Knowledge by Lewis Dartnell
Basic Machines and How They Work by Naval Education And Training Program
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Ultimate edition by Douglas Adams
The System of the World by Isaac Newton
The Universe in a Nutshell by Steven Hawking
Two Treatises of Government by John Locke
The Art of War by Sun Tsu

Basic

Before
Leaving
Earth.
(BIBLE)

After that, any book would do to rip the pages out and start my fires with.

I love to read, so I cann't choose only 10 books. I really like the books: The Catcher in the Rye, To Kill a Mockingbird, Flowers for Algernon. I like books about the Second World War, such as the Signet Ring, the Green King. I like psychology books and detectives. I love philosophy and often read Schopenhauer and Descartes. My e-book is completely full of books. I used to have a large library at home. Now I try to care more about the environment, so I buy e-books and I rent out my paper books (here more). I could never choose just 10 books. But there are many books that I recommended to read.

A friend of mine got this one, I am definitely going to get it too. It's exactly what you need for what you describe above.
