Grip reduction on a Glock

Anyone done grip reduction on a G19? Who are the best people in the business to send a gun to?

Been down this road, I’d seriously consider just getting a Glock 26.
You can do it successfully though.

Nope. But curious, what part of the grip are you trying to reduce? Can you share a pic/example of what you’re trying to achieve?

I am pretty sure he means reducing girth and more probably the backstrap for better trigger reach, not grip length. Easy answer would be Gen 4/5 but some guys are die hard Gen 3 fans. And they never made G19SF in Gen 3, so you gotta dremel it.

I did a grip reduction on my g30, removed fingergrooves and thinned out the plastic. Yes it works and you can drastically tell the difference. Changes the gun completley when you have smaller hands. G30 went from my least favorite to my bedstand.

Don Lazzarini did a few of mine years ago, but I'm not sure if he's still doing any sort of work in the bay area. It involved multiple visits to test out the grip and point out areas to reduce / contour. He also added an excellent texture (I hesitate to call it a stipple job). Those are the only Glocks I wish I still had.

I sent my Glock 30sf to Lane at Cold Bore Customs. Had a grip reduction, finger groove removal, undercut trigger guard, carry texture on the sides with tactical texture on the front and back strap. It came out great. However, you will have to wait a few months. Sent my Glock 21 to Rocky Mountain Weaponry for their 1911 style grip reduction with texture and added beavertail. If you are near the central valley, you can check them out.

My Gen5 G17's are good the way the are. For some reason Gen4 19's feel worse in my hand when drawing and firing fast. I just dont get the same grip like a 17. I like to have straight back strap. PS. G48 is just right . I have medium / large hands. I just like to improve feel of G19.

Just grinding off the Gen 3’s finger grooves and gripping mini squares is not much for reduction in girth, but it does make a difference even with my wife’s small hands. Here’s the latest I’m finishing up.
