Default Ruger LCR holster options

Finally added a revolver to my handgun collection and looking at holster options for concealed carry. I typically carry at the small of the back and wondering what works best for the Ruger LCR. All suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback, I use a similar clip called the Techa Clip for my Shield 9mm and works great.

I just don’t feel comfortable leaving the trigger exposed on carry guns. For the LCR , it’s been my least carried gun so far, i’ve Just used a leather holster off of amazon, I’ve had no complaints about it.

Thanks for the feedback with the IWB holster from Amazon. Is the retention pretty tight with that model?

Yes it’s tight, I worked over the trigger part just slightly to loosen it up just a tiny bit. This thread reminded me I had a Desantis ankle holster that was somewhat generic but that I bought for another gun and the fit was a bit loose, it fits the LCR perfectly, I wore it out doing shopping with the wife and it felt fine, if I find the old order form I’ll update the post with a model number.

After trying a couple kydex IWB holsters for my Ruger LCR, I found a regular leather IWB holster that is WAY more comfortable and conceals very well.

I forget the brand but for me leather works better for me for IWB holster on my Ruger LCR.

Think it was around $30. Only issue is there's no cant if that is what you prefer.

Same leather holster works great for my Kimber K6s as well so I bought another one. I carry AIWB though.

Thanks for the feedback. The consensus so far appears to be the leather IWB variety....I just need to find the right one!

Although I have a couple go to kydex holster companies for my semi handguns, for mini revolvers I've had great luck by simply going on Amazon and searching for leather holsters.

Holsters listed on Amazon for the S&W J frames will fit the Ruger LCR as well.

Then you can scan all the user reviews and if you don't like it when you receive you can just return within 30 days and get full refund.

Here's a great web site for you to read. TONS of stuff for the concealed carry citizen. This site lists ALL of our states, not just California...I clicked on your state as mine won't do you any good, seeing we have so few restrictions, here. I really prefer leather, quiet, discreet and appealing to look at. But my paddle holsters are Kydex.

I use my .327 as a backup in a bug bite ankle holster.

Due to orthopedic issues, I can't utilize small of the back carry. I use a pocket holster from El Paso Saddlery. It's pretty good for front pocket carry in loose fitting pants.
