Not 100% shtf. More along lines of blade runner type future. Its called "the machine" its on Netflix now.

Low budget but if you like smart script kinda 80's vibe movie its good. I especially liked the sort of "they live" background music.
Many liked it, like me, others could not get over fact, it did not have "transformer" budget effects. Story was cool, if not 100% original. Take the chance watch at least half, if you are not on board by then, you will never be.

Btw does "they live" count as shtf?

Also if you can handle silliness

End of the world anime. Desert punk.
First episode here, lots of guns. Sort of juvenile but that's part of its charm.

We just watched Goodbye World on Netflix last night and it was pretty decent. Maybe a little bit slow to start but overall a pretty good SHTF movie.

It is 24% at rotten tomatoes. But you are right not that bad. Shtf seems sort of secondary backdrop to sorta stupid personal retaliationship drama going on.

By the end, I was almost rooting for the bad guys. It would be sad, if the human race ended with these guys as the last survivors.

This movie had a ton of potential for me and I actually really enjoyed the first half, but at a certain point in the film, the story sort of stagnates and failed to hold my attention. I ended up turning it off.

Considering the budget, though, it's very well shot and well produced.

Yea kinda does not work as well as an action flick, it became in second half.

Blade runner for example had some definite boring parts as well, but its still concidered a classic.

But over all liked it hope those guys do more protects, it a great start.

Just watched "All is Lost" last night on Netflix. Worth a look. Not your usual SHTF film. But the S certainly does HTF, in bucketloads. Robert Redford stars as an old man sailing a yacht alone somewhere in the middle of the Indian ocean. He wakes to find water gushing in and discovers that his boat has struck a huge shipping container just floating in the sea, and it has torn open the side of the yacht. But that's just the beginning of his troubles...

I scrolled by that on Amazon Prime and wondered about this flick. Good to know it's on Netflix. Will add to list.

Illegal aliens bringing in disease? The very idea is ridiculous. Unless its a white guy from Germany.

That's why liberal Hollywood would never make a film like this.
