Mine goes way back to 1971.

1. High Standard Military Trophy 1971
2. S&W M29 8 3/8" 1976
3. North American Arms Mini Master 1996
4. CZ40P 2005
5. Glock 35 2006
6. More Glocks since, most recent a G23

The HS, M29, CZ are all gone and the Mini Master is now a Pug.

Still have them all but the M9, which I sold to my father. Might buy it back one day just since it was my first piece. I wasn't shooting it much at the time... you know how it goes

1st) Was a Charter Arms Target Bulldog in 44 Special. I wanted a S&W Model 29 but the price was way out of reach.

2nd) Was a S&W Model 39 in 9MM. I wanted a Browning Hi-Power but the price was way out of reach.

3rd) Was a Ruger MK1 Target in 22 LR. The first time I got what I really wanted.

4th) Was a S&W Model 17 in 22LR. I recall they called it a K22 Masterpiece.

5th) Was a S&W Model 19 in .357MAG the "combat magnum." I really wanted a Colt Python but yet again the price was way out of reach. Still, over the years this became my favorite gun and is the only gun I regret selling.

As you can see most of my early gun acquisitions were second choice propositions.

Since me and the wife sort of share our guns I will put the first 5 with the exception of things she is the only one that uses just handguns

1 Glock 17 gen 3 black
2 EAA 38 special revolver
3 Smith & wesson bodyguard 380 ( one of my carry guns)
4 Smith & wesson m&p 9c ( sold it since there was no safety and the only gun i ever had jam a couple times)
5 ATI 1911 commander ( one of the best triggers i have shot)
