Default Nylon or Kydex sheath for a Buck 192 Vanguard?

I’m looking to replace my stock leather sheath.

Buck has this one on their website for the 692:
https://www.buckknives.com/product/s...rd/0691-15-BK/

Will that one work? I think the 692 is the rubber-handled version of the 192, correct? Probably give buck a call when i get a chance.

I think it works for $18.00 I'd give it a try. Thinking a Vanguard is a Vanguard regardless of handle material.

Yeah, thats what i’m thinking. Even if i have to buy a new one every year...can’t go wrong for the price, if it works.

BTW, for anyone who's interested, this Buck synthetic sheath is pretty awesome for the money. Just what I was looking for and like Tom says, it's lined with plastic, so it looks to be pretty durable where the cutting edge lives.

I really like the Vanguard, and it has taken on new life as my fixed belt knife for doing chores with this sheath.
