Default Chiappa RAK47 ?

Anyone looked at one yet? I hope they are better made than the WASR 22...

Chiappa Firearms is the importer.
Cugir Arsenal Romania is the manufacturer.

It's essentially a new production WASR-22.

I read somewhere Cugir used to make and import these in to the US.

Why a grip wrap on a .22?

Mags easy to get?

They must be applying grip wraps to all pistol grips because they don't study CA law that closely. Not required on any semi .22lr.. Dont believe RAK 22 is easily convertable to .223

Email Atlantic, they're easy to work with.

Mags? Good question. This may be the one thing that would keep me from buying one myself.

Black Dog Machines makes 10 round magazines (@ $15 per mag) that work in it (designed for the AKT98 and WASR22).

Folks when our crew builds a new listing they have a template they follow and the RAK 22 rifle listing is only there to show an upcoming rifle offering. We are currently testings these to make sure that we even want to sell them and they are reliable . Unlike a lot of the other vendors out there we actually like to get our hands dirty and make sure that what we're offering to our clients and friends really works . Once approved the listing will be further scrutinizing tweaked-out. Or range feedback on the RAK 22 has been very positive. The rifle ran like a champ right out of the box & unlike other rifles did not have a cheap plastic feel. The RAK 22 is made of metal and wood with a wight of 6.6 pounds and actually feels like an AK47 Rifle . We plan on further testing this up coming week

Thanks for testing this Atlantic. I used to have one of the first WASR22’s, and it had many problems. To many for me to repair, and I’m a pretty good AK mechanic. What I saw was very poor quality control and sloppy tolerances every where. The thing was so bad it would run away a whole mag! That would definitely turn heads at the public range.

That's a nice looking rifle! Should keep the busybodies at the range busy worrying about those evil features!

Thanks for the update Atlantic. If it’s quality and takes black dog mags, I’ll buy one!

Good, I’d like to hear a report before I order.
