Scanning it is not hard on the flatbed scanner built into my multipurpose printer. Just square it up and crop, but I guess it depends if yours is a flatbed. Those vertical feeder scanners can be a pain to square up. Microsoft Scan built into Windows 10 or 11 lets you crop the image, choose the dpi setting and file type output: bmp, tiff, jpg, pdf, etc.

I have a Samsung all-in-1 with a flatbed scanner. It's not hooked up to windoze 10 though.

How much did Printscan charge you for the .eft file?

Its about $89.

Not cheap, but considering Priority Mail Envelopes cost almost $10 each time, I can afford not to batch my eForm 1 applications ever again.

I?m not sure. The PrintScan locations near me don?t seem to be too eager to do it. And I have a perfectly good FD258 with me, so I used that.

Yes, they are all tax free. Where the form says: Type of application (check one), box C is checked that says Tax Exempt.
