Default TandemKross Double Kross 10/22 mag coupler.

Essentially they are two 10/22 rotary mag bodies joined at their bottoms. You take the guts out of your 10/22 mag and insert them in the Double Kross. TK has a very easy to follow video on YT on how to do this. It took me about 10 minutes to do. Function check is fine, I need to prove it at the range. No reason to doubt it though. The only non BX-1 part is the mag body.

The benefit here is you get the dead sure reliability of the rotary mag and have 20 rds on tap.

Great idea! A ton better form factor and ergos than those super bulky tri mag couplers.

I put a few of these together last year. They're good, but...

1. two of the four I built are a tight fit in my 10/22's mag well.

2. I don't use them enough nor have I practiced with them enough to remember which way to flip flop 'em when flipping them over for the second ten rounds.

This is all moot, now that I have five BX-25s from Saint Benitez's Freedom Week.

This is why I have all my rotary mags marked with orange paint. It tells me which way is front. I have BX25s as well but they stick way out and arenít 100% reliable IME.

I have 3 of these, one fits perfectly in the magpul stock with one regular 10 up front. So I have 2 floater that sit in my bag. Don't get me started on BX and GSG mags, that's pretty much all I use now.

However there IS a place for these still. If you like most have a lot of 10 round rotary mags, this is an easy way to consolidate and simplify them.

FYI they are both facing the same way.

I never understood these mag couplers for 10/22's... is it for when you're in the middle of an intense firefight with little, tiny bad guys?

It's for when the squirrels and rabbits start shooting back.

They are great for kids learning to shoot and reloading.

See... that's the thing... I figure that's the LAST place where this device would be useful.

I know, if you taught a young BigFatGuy to shoot, I'd certainly have benefited from NOT being able to shoot fast and reload easily... a single-shot cricket might have been the best platform.

Hightower Armory makes a very simple adapter that joints two stock 10 rounds mags. My wife prefers this arrangement as it makes it easier to extract mags. Was more of an issue when she was using a wood stock, less so with a composite stock.

I like the Tandem Kross doubler, works awesome and you get to use factory mags. Do they still make them?

A firm called Alangator markets them now. The price is the same as a Double Kross.

The same firm also markets the triple mag holder.
