I use two E-500s, and a hygrometer.

Installed a threaded hollow rod (the kind they use for lamps) and put nuts on both ends to keep it in place. This keeps the AC cord from hitting a sharp edge. Installed a duplex outlet. Goldenrod in one outlet and and a LED strip setup designed for safes - motion detection turns on the light.

I mounted the Goldenrod on magnets which allows easy placement.

Easy Peasy.
Good info. Thanks

Never use anything that traps moisture in the safe
Never use anything that converts humidity to liquid in the safe

A simple heat source works awesome
10-15w bulb in the bottom
Ideally a golden rod - it’s just a plug in heater

The heat keeps air moving and prevents rust from forming

I bought an inexpensive "LOCKDOWN" brand analog hygrometer a while back and it seemed to be reading on the high side as I also have a "Goldenrod" in the safe and no sign of any rust.
So I dug deeper into the various hygrometer offerings and bought this one from Their focus is only on quality temperature related measuring instruments. I also have had for a couple of years now, their "Thermapen Mk4" for the BBQ but had no idea they also made a digital hygrometer for only $39.00!
Now having two hygrometers in the safe, the LOCKDOWN constantly reads 10-15 percent higher (see the photo below) than the Thermoworks-seems my suspicion was correct. Again, you get what you pay for.

Magnets on the rod, brilliant idea. Using the rods in my safes for a little over a week and my Eva-dry are still showing completely dry. Which is good considering I'm only a couple miles from the ocean. Now for a hygrometer in each although I seriously doubt I'm getting too dry.
