I still hear from people that see them, but don't realize that's what they are. In your case, only 28 posts since 2018 - you were bound to miss something or another, and maybe there's still some other surprises that await you. ---

Regardless of the fact that my 8,000 posts just shows I do everything big, here and in my life - not 'another' life - everywhere, all lives, at all times, to the fullest - here or off Calguns. My succes proves that - granted, I don't watch TV, so there's that. Good luck, gold luck. As for me, I never needed luck. --

As long as the cops never find out because somebody posted about it on a public forum......

It’s not legal to sell large cap mags to ordinary citizens in this state. The sellers at the show and the folks running the show wouldn’t let that happen because they would go to jail. So, you didn’t see what you think you saw.

When something interesting happens on this front, this thread: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1335810 will be opened and updated, and there will be a dozen or so other threads across the forums.
That will be hard to miss.

The last time I went to a gun show in California - 15 years ago? - someone was selling a cane sword from a tabletop, and I watched an off-duty cop tell the uniformed police. They just shrugged and shuffled away apathetically. A friend also told me once about a CA gun show 20+ years ago or so when a group of men all with the same haircut were selling drop-in auto sears from a rented gun show table.
Always assume there's at least one table at every gun show that are on-duty LEOs dangling illegal crap hoping someone will bite. The act of buying something doesn't make it legal, so just keep doing legal stuff and keep not doing illegal stuff. |

Posted on other threads I did but here:
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/us...?ocid=msedgntp (Reuters) - A divided U.S. appeals court on Tuesday reinstated California's ban on high-capacity magazines, calling it a reasonable means to support the state's effort to reduce gun violence, including mass shootings. Apos about the several posts in other threads but it's important to some.

I am blanking on the store or owner's name, but there was a shop based in Modesto IIRC that sold a lot of C&R stuff at all the gunshows in NorCal (and elsewhere) was busted in some BS fake-sting at the Big Reno show. As I recall he beat the feds, but the fiasco did a number on his life. He relocated to Kern County IIRC... He always seemed like a great guy when I would go to his both at gun shows and in my online interactions with him. I still think about him now and again - a good life screwed by the hi-jinks of an out of control Federal agency.

But as out of touch and clueless on a level comparable to the apathy he has for his 2nd Amendment rights, so there's that.
And I've come to accept the fact that most people can't compete with me on multiple levels, whatever the facet of life or outlet, so that's OK too - they can't all be winners. But yeah, absolutely hilarious - the very same reasons Prop 63 passed and the petition against it could only muster some 150,000 signatures. And now the 9th drove a nail into it yesterday. Do you think he knows? Let's see if he pops up around this time next year wondering if he 'missed something' (yet again). A total hahaha. ---

As for the 9th's decision yesterday, I don't think it's a "nail in the coffin" necessarily. Benitez laid a good legal foundation for the supreme court to cogitate upon. If they choose to consider it. I'm thinking they'll be too chicken-**** to consider it. A majority of them (or enough of them anyway) seem to have a hard time making hard decisions (for example, Kavanaugh's recent comments about the abortion issue; you can already see he doesn't want to take a stand on the issue, he wants to pass it back to the states, etc.).
