Default Surefire Socom Muzzle Brake

Anyone know what the difference is between these two Surefire muzzle brakes? I accidentally ordered the "MB556k" instead of the "MB556". I just want to make sure it'll fit a standard 1/2-28 and still be used with a Warden. It's too late to cancel my order, because I just got a notification form Midway saying it shipped.

I think because the bottom is a socom brake? It's $100 at armsunlimited w/free shipping.

It was $116 on Midway, so not that much of a difference.

My main concern was its quick detach capabilities so I can still use the Warden.

$16 bucks could get you a 24 pack. I'd say the socom could attach to the warden.

Directly from surefire's website. Hope it helps. From what I quickly viewed I already saw a size difference.

I know for sure the Socom will attach to my Warden because I already have several. But, I accidentally ordered the 'K' version, I was wondering if that one will work with the Warden as well.

I know, but is the MB556K compatible as that's the one I ordered by mistake. I want to make sure before I install and can no longer return it.

It's coming out to $110 shipped. Was there an extra coupon code?

You guys are quick , I ran into the problem last year during a build. Only really difference I found was one has threads for attachments and the other does not.

The Socom devices have a registration key that protrudes from the base of the device to prevent rotation of the attached suppressor or warden. The K devices have a keyway groove in them to prevent rotation. They both have a taper seat.
