I would guess that without having drawn anything, there were very few if any ducks taken by ddragos.

11 birds for 3 shooters. Mix of Greenwing, bluewing, and cinnamon. Mostly hens. And a pair of pintail. In the IV. Bring the bug spray, skeeters were thick as I’ve ever seen.

3 shovelers. Too many shovelers. Nothing else but shovelers on the place/ponds I hunted.

Private property, colusa area - limits for all within 40 minutes. Pintail, widgeon and teal. Shot a banded cinnamon teal - banded this summer.

V3 did well. Patternmaster choke shooting 3Ē steel #2ís. Hoping the wind brings down the specs.

Snow geese are down. First time Iíve see decent numbers of snows this early.

Got lucky on the sweat line at San Jack. 3 guns. Called it quits at noon. Lost 2-3 in the thick stuff.

San jac. 6 birds for 2 guys plus 2 lost. Very slow after 8. Birds all rafted up on mystic.

Wednesday could be a good hunt if the winds kick up this week.

The snow geese hit sac refuge area every year in August. They have been bypassing tule lake and Lower klamath for at least 20 years.

second season and first successful weekend (for me anyway). so stoked I actually downed a bird on my first shot! I think the highviz site and the choke I picked up has helped.

D1 - 2 shoveler hens, 2 ruddy, 2 coots
D2 - 2 Mallards.

Now I need some recipes. I think jerky for the spoon and Ruddy. cooked the mallard legs with just some S&P in the cast-iron.

It's probably closer to 30 years for the snows as about the time I was really going up to NE CA (1996) every year they were already long gone. The specks bypass the area too now almost entirely and show up about the same time. Theory is the abudant Ag food vs. natural stuff at LK. Lack of water on LK/Tule didn't help either.

We hunt the north west corner of Los Banos almost Gustine. On opener my two kids and I ended up with about 15 birds. The next day only one. The following Wednesday we had a dozen birds in the blind 45 minutes into shoot time. Yesterday we finished with 7 birds. The full moon must have screwed it up for us.

For the opening weekend it was the most diverse 2 limits of birds I think I've ever gotten..

Sat 24th - Pintail, Woody, Spoonie, Gadwall, GW Teal, and 2 Widgeon.
Sun 25th - 3 Spoonies, GW Teal, 2 Widgeon, and a ring neck..

Also scored 4 Snows. I was having gun safety issues so the Saturday limit took most of the day.. when I switched to my backup, I didn't have any further issues.

Spent the whole weekend at the club this weekend with my kids and netted 0 birds. It was like the apocalypse hit and there was no birds flying at all. Slowvember hit us hard.

Saturday jump shooting:

One was at sunrise, the other at sunset. Grand total of about 60 minutes of hunting. Spent over 3 hours napping. Best hunting day so far this year.

Turned a deer into steaks on Saturday, and taught a buddy how to reload on Sunday. Hoping this cold snap moved some ducks down and hoping to get out soon!

Today, public land.
Did not see a bird till 8AM.
2 limits by 9AM. After 8AM they were coming non-stop like someone opened a gate. All pass shots.
Some bluebills, but mostly spoonbills.
