I am still surprised that the ATF supposedly seized all of the firearms from this store but did not suspend its federal firearms license.

Do we actually know that their FFL is active? Can they order firearms from distributors, receive shipments of firearms, have buyers fill out 4473 and perform sales, or deliver firearms to buyers?

One theory might be: Their FFL is currently inoperative, and they have no firearms (and won't have any until the situation is resolved), but they can still operate a retail store that sells accessories, optics, cleaning supplies, and such. I've seen this happen with other gun stores that got their FFL pulled, and continued to operate as gun accessory or general sporting good stores; local examples in the Bay Area include Trader Sports of San Leandro, and SJGX of San Jose.

Imbert and smithers gun shop in San Carlos was shut down by the ATF, not sure why.

ATF has been targeting FFLs under a new zero tolerance policy for even minor paperwork issues. In many cases they don’t just revoke an FFLs license, but conduct a full raid and seize all firearms.

America needs a new Firearm Owners Protection Act. While the gun rights community looks at the original with infamy due to the Hughes Amendment, the law substantially curtailed abusive behavior by the ATF.

No, per ATF ez check they lost their ffl. That's public info, so... guns aren't coming back for a minute

I went to eZ Check with their last digits of FFL but it looks like it's still showing with their expiration date 3/1/2025.

I was at American Gun Works in Glendale on 08/31, weekday, only customer, I was renewing my FSC again and joshing around with the manager.

Not a big shop but its been there forever. Anyway, I start up the test in the designated area and four folks walk in. I glance over and think to myself if these losers are looking to purchase a firearm the staff have a long sell and require lots of hand holding. Whatever hopefully I?m far away. The something odd occurred, the group moved en masse to the vacated counter, and the owner pops out with about a foot stack of completed DROS paperwork and plops it down in front of the least likely.

I get real shut my mouth quite and scribble something to the office manager They ATF?, shakes her head and under her breath whispers DOJ. Dang! I feel so much better now lol. She complained they messed up her filing.

So she grades my test and I miss one question, the one she warned me about. Age now 21 for even long guns WTF? I told my lovely wife this was my chance to poke the bear. She indicated since I last took it it changed. Yep, I had to get the last FSC in 2019 so I could pickup an AK before?<left unsaid>. Least likely looked up and chuckled. Seemed she was on a training mission and seemed they were unscheduled.

On the way out the Manager joked about the state needing money I replied if they expect to get rich off of us that aint happening. The wimpy guy guarding the door? laughed.

By the deference given I could tell this was a major deal for them, I can only imagine a full blown dynamic entry by the Feds.

Huh, I just checked again and it's back! Maybe they are getting it sorted. I hope so
