Default New guy in town!
Hey all good to be here, been lurking for a while waiting to get access to post. Just got activated last night so I figured id introduce myself. Been working in the Midwest for the past few year and just returned back to California where I was born and raised until 2014. Just applied for my CCW and have my interview with the sheriff on 9/11 go figure!!!. Anyways here are my newest pickups this month and hope you all have a great Labor Day weekend 🤘

Hello -

New member from the very bottom of So Cal. Decided earlier this year that I finally wanted to learn to shoot; took a few beginner handgun classes at a local range, and purchased my first firearm - OD Glock 17.

Started looking at ARs but became overwhelmed at the amount of available info - picked up a SS Mini-14 Ranch as it seems CA friendly... and besides, it was good enough for the A-Team.

Grabbed a Glock 26 last month - also OD, cause why not match?

I still want to obtain some sort of AR - currently lost in the 'featureless vs maglock' conundrum and hoping I can find some guidance on this site. The Fightlite SCR lower with a quality upper seems like it might check all the boxes, but perhaps there's something better out there.

Would like to add a shotgun to the collection - the Beretta 1301 seems like a sure bet, but - again - hoping to find some info on the site that will help me make a final decision.

Also thinking about picking up a third handgun - something other than 9mm - and looking at 10mm/45ACP Glocks (as I feel comfortable with the platform), but perhaps someone can sway to me towards other offerings.

And if anyone can suggest some quality private training in the SD area, it would be much appreciated.

Think about a .357/.38 revolver somewhere along the line.

Also consider an AR in .22 cal.
M&P 15-22 in .22 cal.
Low cost fun.

Hello! Joining to learn about long range shooting. Excited to mix up my kit and replace some short range with a ruger precision in 300 win mag or maybe 338 lapua, and of course learn about appropriate scopes!

Hello everyone,

New member and gun owner. It started with looking for home defense and now I am diving into the world of firearms. I really like the 1911's and 2011's. Learning quickly how much California sucks and how we cannot have a lot of the awesome stuff. Open to suggestion and located in the central valley.
