No profile Loaded indicator on Shield
If a s&w MP Shield has its loaded indicator replaced with a “no profile” indicator on a concealed carry gun does that make it non California Compliant? Void the warranty? I can’t find the straight answer on this. I know the benefits to this because that thing is kind of annoying distracting in front of the sights. But I am curious if anyone knows for sure if this would be creating any potential issues. I am new to cal guns thank you for your thoughts.

Can't answer your question, not a lawyer. And I thought it looked like a giant distracting idiotic flag-thing before I got a shield. After 2 years of carrying and shooting regularly, I honestly don't notice it at all.
It does what it needs to do and I don't find it intrusive.

Thank you for your reply I honestly don’t intend for anyone to see it anyway. The more I shoot it the more invisible it becomes. I actually really like this gun! I’m very used to Glocks it’s my first “other than Glock” gun. I intend on getting tru glo soghts hopefully it’s not in the way. Thank you again

Is there any legitimate documentation of that actually happening? An extractor could do the same thing, but no one removes the extractor.
I've EDC my Shield withe a LCI for over two years. It has never been a problem. |

I was thinking about replacing mine too but decided to just shave it down a bit and paint the letters black. Also, I added Ameriglo hackathorns to it and the LCI it pretty much non obstructing.

If you put Truglo TFX Pro sights on it the LCI will block the lower half of the front sight. I installed the Apex Low Profile LCI because of this since I really like the Truglo TFX Pro sights.

Rd ct 7,000 with my 2 and no problems.
I shortened my first Shields LCI some due to all the hysteria I read about them but haven't seen a need to for the second as I no longer notice it shooting and actually like it. |

Any gunsmith can do this. It is very simple. Push pin partially out with pin punch until you can remove original LCI (make sure not to lose spring). Insert new LCI and press pin back in place.

I installed the lci delete myself, super easy and worth every penny.
I also took the safety, mag disco off and put Apex trigger and tfx sites ..... love that gun now.
