Semi-auto rifles didn't exist in the 1920s? Are you freaking kidding?

Judge Hurwitz is a Democrat. Judge Bumatay and judge Bress are appointed by president Trump. Let's hope for a brighter future for today.

Not to mention Canada, and several European nations.

If your entire case turns on common use, your case is in trouble.

I will give Hurwitz a thumbs-up for really drilling into the CA council and giving out extra time. If you watch carefully, Bumatay starts smiling when Hurwitz makes good points.

OMFG:

"If we disagree about the AR15=M16, what do you say?"

"These weapons fail 2A protection since they are not common."

Hole = dug.

How to convert a semi auto to full auto, "just drill some holes and insert a part", wow. Knows NOTHING about conversion.

And YES these rifles are available to Law Enforcement, Shows me a 14th Amendment violation.

This hearing was to a certain other recent hearing as last night's VP debate was to the Trump-Biden slugfest. Well done Mr. Brady.

I didn't like Sean's start, but he definitely strengthened as this rolled on. The stream ended on meme levels of absurdity from the AG. No way this can end well for the state.

I thought I saw something in the body language there, too! I only wish Judge Bress would have asked as many questions as Judge Bumatay, just to get a better read on his thinking as well.

I don't want to get too optimistic, but I will certainly rest better having watched these arguments compared to the recent Young arguments.

One of the core things from the lower court was the lower court said current assault weapons are "like" and M-16 ..

Bress said at one point "assuming we don't agree with you on that." or something like that.. It seemed pretty clear that Bress and Bumatay don't agree with that core point from the lower court.

On Judge Bress, does anybody else get annoyed when someone is writing while you talk to them. I just feel they aren't paying attention.

Judge Huritz, I think overall he questioned both side equally, one can hope he just looks at the Constitution & not his personal opinion on guns.

Judge Bumatay, I put in the win column.

Let's hope for a solid 2A opinion.
