Washington State Non-resident CCW permit

I had a trip planned recently for South-East Washington State and decided to check out what was involved in obtaining a non-resident Concealed Pistol License / CCW permit. I looked up information at the Walla Walla sheriff's website at:

https://wallawallawa.permitium.com/ccw/start

It was an easy on-line application with a nominal fee. So, I applied on 5/6/2022 and set up a finger-printing appointment for 6/2/2022, while I was going to be in town.

The staff at the W. Alder Street location was polite and the only real question while on-site was if I had washed my hands appropriately before fingerprinting. Altogether, I was there maybe 12-15 minutes tops.

I was told that time frames for hearing back could vary depending on the background check process.

However, I received an approval text on 6/6/2022 and my license was received in the mail on 6/10/2022 back in California.

All in all, it was a very easy and quick process.
