Neighborhood Watch books 1 & 2 were good. Am waiting on #3.

Black Hills Fall is another I enjoyed.

Another book in the Commune series by Joshua Gayou is coming out later this year.

Commune 5: The Battle of DC

I really liked the first few books, but must admit I was not as enthused by book #4. I have this pending book on my wish list, but I am not yet motivated enough to pre-order it.

Enjoying Jack Carr's Series, on the 4th book now. Also, the Gray Man series is great too, though the capacity to believe that he could survive all of those shootouts is a bit beyond the pale.

I am listening to In the Blood - the 5th book in Jack Carr's series, and today I picked up my signed (and shot) hard copy from the Post Office.

I devoured Lucifers Hammer as a teen. I was not introduced to Earth Abides until fairly recently - it holds up pretty well for a 70+ year old book.

I really enjoyed all three of the books in the One Second After series. Forstchen's Day of Wrath is a much shorter book about terrorism - in many ways it is superior to and more disturbing than the One Second After books.

If you listen to Audible audiobooks https://freeaudiobookcodes.com/ is a great site. They have tons of books (changes hourly), and quite a few prepper, survivalism type fiction books.

They have codes for the books for two different markets: US and the United Kingdom. Often they will run out of US codes first but will still have UK codes. I can't count the number of times they would be out of US codes, but still have UK codes and I figured I was out of luck until someone explained I can setup an account with the UK version of Audible as well. Sure enough, simple to set up, I don't have a paid membership with Audible UK, but I can still get books there - I have gotten more than 80 free books so far on my UK account, many many times that on my US account.

I just about finished "One Year After". I get really upset when reading it and the previous. I know it is just fiction, Fiction right.........?

Getting upset is the reason I quit "Unintended Consequences" when it got to Ruby Mt. And there are those who want to give the government more power.

So how do you use the free audiobook codes on Audible. Been an audible subscriber for a long time. Never really noticed is there some place that you can enter a promo code?

I enjoyed the "Rule of Three" series. More for teens, perhaps, but very realistic in many regards.

(EMP scenario of a sort, btw, where the protagonist is a teen boy who just built an ultralight aircraft, and this gives him and his neighborhood an edge in their survival, also their next door neighbor is a former agent/spy who knows what to do.

I started reading the series Heartland Aliens, by Joshua James. The first book, Invasion, reads fast. I am on the second in the series, Uprising. It is free with Kindle Unlimited.

Bible, the book of Revelation.

1/3 of mankind wiped out.
Oceans turn to blood.
A storm of meteors weighing 100 pounds.
Sky turns black.
Monsters released.

It doesn’t get more SHTF/TEOTWAWKI than that.

Currently reading Reversion, book one of the Stonemont Series by Steven Smith. It's yet another EMP based SHTF scenario but is pretty well-written, espouses Conservative values, and is holding my interest so far. Free on Kindle Unlimited.

A Long Time Until Now by Michael Williamson has a lot of prepper-type details. A mixed squad of soldiers in Afghanistan are transported back to the paleolithic. The second book in the series, That Was Now, This Is Then was good also.

Yeah, those were both good books. If you like modern folks transported back in time, look into the 1632 Ring of Fire series by Eric Flint. A modern town in West Virginia gets popped back to Europe in 1632, in the throws of the 30 years war. AR15s against flintlock muskets...hehehe. It is a long series though, some where around 90+ books and counting! I stopped after the 20th book or so.

After reading the first couple of books, my prepper tick started firing and I picked up an older edition of Encyclopedia Britannica
