Yeah I bought this and not too happy after the first washing -- the front face where the logo is deforms and you get vertical wrinkle lines.

Make sure during the first wash you don't let it simply dry wrinkled, insert some kind of stuffing to simulate your head. I used a baby pillow to try stretch it out again to remove the wrinkles but its not the same ..

Hats never turn out the same when you wash them, in my experience.

My Under Armour caps stay in shape after washes.

Come to think of it I think it’s due to the material now! The 5.11 cap is traditional cotton material and the Under Armour is synthetic dri-fit material. The overall appearance (shape and discoloration) seems to hold in shape after placing in a washing machine!

I wasn’t going to buy the first hat. Then I saw the links to the rest of the hats, and bought the one with the “hook side” for a morale patch on it. No shipping, tax under a dollar, and my favorite part: NO BUTTON on the top to cause discomfort while wearing ear muffs.

Hand wash hats, the machine will wreck them.

Best advice, and only advice for wool caps. But before this “deal” thread segues into a “how to” advice column, just search your browser for “how to clean baseball cap.” You’ll find a method that makes sense. Just be patient with soaking and drying time. It’s not a quick-trick procedure.

We wash hats in the dishwasher, dryer off, top rack. They stay in shape that way.

I like these flex fits in multicam green and black. Shipping will add to the total but if you grab a few things its worth it. They have tees and hoodies for cheap

Why would someone care about wrinkle lines on a hat? Especially this hat.

Hats serve a functional purpose, in this case "tactical", to block the sun from your eyes and keep some sweat from your face.

My baseball caps are all Flexfit (because of my gigantic five-head) and have survived multiple trips to the washing machine with cold water and detergent with the rest of my clothes. You can also take some pliers and remove the button on the top since, with modern technological advancements in sewing, it serves a solely superficial purpose. Why would someone fret over an accessory worth $10 with special washing procedures and concern with wrinkles?

Gripe over.

Buy 7, free shipping, no tax. $51.87 to your door. Done.

Got the hat today. Happy with it. My SIG camo freebee morale patch (from the P320 “voluntary upgrade”/recall) fits perfectly.

For those hat cleaner-types who didn’t know this exists:

Run it in the dishwasher, top rack, no other dishes, dryer off. Try at your own risk.

My hats always shrink just enough when I wash them that they just don’t fit the same after. Even in cold water and not drying them.
