Default Share Your CI Training Experience!

Hey CalGunners,

I was hoping to find out about your experience obtaining your DOJ Certified Instructor certificates. I was hoping to find information like where, how long did it take, and if DOJ gave you any issues if you used a third-party location? If you checked multiple location, what caught your eye?

I need to get my certificate to administer FSC, so just trying to find some personal experiences.

Regards,
Jay

Is it just you or how many employees?

If I bunch I used a guy who comes to my store and will train multiple people at once.... I forget his name its been a while but Ill find it and follow up.

If it's just you you may consider getting your NRA certified instructor certificate or range officer. It's easy and exempts you.

Hey BONECUTTER,

Just me for now. I checked the NRA site, but there were so many options. Am I supposed to pick a course from the right-hand column on this page, https://www.nrainstructors.org/Search.aspx, or is it any course from this page, https://firearmtraining.nra.org/become-an-instructor/?

Thanks,
Jay

NRA Basic Range Safety Officer Course
NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Course

Will both work.

Thanks, BONECUTTER!

I'll go with the Range Safety. The Instructor Pistol is actually more expensive surprisingly.
