CA DOJ CFLC website lists my FFL status as expired

My FFL expires 1/1/2020 yet I cannot ship any firearms to CA because the CFLC site popped up a status expired message this morning. Wish I could yelp review CA DOJ.

Same thing happened to us/my ffl (I'm not the FFL holder at the business) earlier this month. I emailed dojcflc@doj.ca.gov and explained the issue and they had it fixed in a couple of hours.

I just had a customer call and tell me that they cannot log in because the system shows their number as expired also.


Maybe the new GasTax money they are raping us all for, will go to fix some of these firearms systems in this state?

Yep same issue over here. Just had an FFL call saying the same thing Phil just stated. Has anybody reported this issue to DOJ yet?

Its telling me mine expires on in 2021 and its "expired" in their system, its also saying I need to email them a copy of the "ATF letter" What the heck is that? I don't recall any letter from ATF when we renew we always just get a new license in the mail.

That letter is when your FFL is renewed but ATF has not mailed your new FFL out yet since they print those in batches.

That email works almost instantly. If you trying calling the DOJ CFLC department they never answer.

Thanks Phil. I never got a “letter” since I never had a lapse in my FFL. I’ll check tomorrow and tell our sending FFLs to just send off an email. Problem is they are out of state and not too hip on dealing with the California BS.

Mine is showing expired too, I just got my FFL. Im off to email them.

Obviously a system-wide issue. We are showing expired as well and our FFL does not expire until 11/19.

Ours got rectified within a few hours this am, same with my out of state vendor who was trying to get us a CFLC. More back door gun control stuff it seems to me. File this thread under the file: "at this time we do not expect issues with the DES"

I received email saying that my account was reset and now it seems to work, for now.

Dial one number up or down. Avoids the machine but gets the same department.

I sent them a email with my current FFL and it was fixed in 10 min.

With the number of expired licenses being mentioned sounds like someone in the I.T. Department was futzing with the database.

Good chance they did. I just got the same message on my other FFL so 2 out of 2 expired.

So I have this system of convincing out of state FFLs to ship to California. So of course I am explaining how it works via e-mail and I try to log in to give him directions. My new FFL is expired. I log into my Ten Percent Firearms account and it is expired too. I hate this state.

Just in case you want to know how I convince out of staters to do business with California.

Why not? The liberals in this state set up our gun laws to discourage you from selling to the God loving, gun toting, conservatives stuck behind enemy lines. They want you to stop shipping guns into California. Correct me if I am wrong, but you probably aren't the type to do what liberals want are you? I bet not. I bet you are the type of person who would rather tell a liberal to get bent and "shall not be infringed" means exactly what it says.

Well if you want to piss off a liberal, send a gun to California. A transaction that is perfectly legal and I can help you continue to supply arms to freedom loving Americans stuck behind enemy lines. Literally five minutes of your time and there is no reason you can't arm the lovers of liberty here in California that for whatever reason can't get out, but live in conservative occupied territory like myself and this CCW holding customer that wants an FNP-9 really bad will get the gun the State of California wants to scare you into not lawfully sending into the state.

So how about it? Instead of doing what the liberals want and not doing lawful business with law abiding conservatives in this state, why not trigger a liberal and send a perfectly lawful firearm into California today?

I have also done a very similar thing and it does work. Telling a gun dealer that they are doing exactly what the anti-gun people want them to do tends to get them to engage their brains and change their view.
