If reloading components dont come back for a while how long could you keep shooting

So if reloading components stay in short supply for the rest of this year how long could some of you shooters keep reloading before you start to feel the heat ? 1 year ? 2 years? 3 years ? I know everyone will have a different number . I just want to hear the crazy number some of you will come up with .

I will take longer time to aim, shoot less, every shot count. After one year, when SHTF I will defense my family with baseball bat.

As long as target 12ga loads are cheap, I can keep doing the birdshot/slug swap and happily keep going. As of now, the swap method is very easy and costs me ~$.25/rd which is great for slugs in my eyes. I have quite a few bricks of Big5 clearance shotshell primers so those are stored away for later along with my lead ingot stash. Pistol components for me will last a while since I've been having so much fun shooting slugs lately. The louder clang you get hitting steel is very addicting and satisfying

I've got enough primer, powder and projectiles to last about five years, and perhaps a bit longer. I'll run out of rimfire ammunition first.

It depends. I have enough to make 20k rounds. That's what I shot in a year for the last 2 years. So 1 year unless I scale back my shooting.

Depends on how much money you have to spend. The stuff is still out there, you just have to pay more. There's even material to load your own primers but takes massive time and therefore money.

Another questions might be, have you amassed a stockpile and have you allotted a budget for shooting to keep shooting your average rounds per range trip to last the years you think this drought will last and can you stay within your budget.

Currently for myself [stockpile(9000)]/[rounds per trip(200)]/[range trips per year(52)]= .86 of a year with a budget of 0 or $16 per range trip for gas (free range)

By changing the number of range trips per year or number or rounds per range trip I can greatly extend my time to keep shooting. If I increase my budget I can keep extending my stockpile and and so on.....

Great idea!

I'm not shooting. Ammo too precious. If I am off an inch or two on the target they will still bleed.

many years, close to a decade, but I only shoot 6-8k rounds per year. When I finally retire, I plan on shooting more so that will bring it down a few years.

Went out to hodge on a saturday and it was PACKED! idk how many of those psychos enjoy shooting for $1 a round but I expected as months passed ranges would be less occupied. I'm assuming any shooter you see at a range today kept a well stocked supply to continue shooting.

I took my AR to the tin can range a few months ago and felt absolutely profligate shooting so many .223 rounds at tin cans.

I could almost feel
The jealous eyes watching me waste all that ammo.

In these witch hunt times you ask that question? So you want to make the CADOJ and BATFE's job that much easier by consolidating a few targets for them? If not, either way I would never answer that question and anyone that does, well, it's out there now and I hope no one is lurking. Call me paranoid, but the actions we have seen dictate extreme caution.
