Default Benchmade warranty

I have 2 benchmade knives 1 is an infidel the other is a 9052?
Both are automatic and I would like to have them reconditioned.

Does anyone know if I'm going to have a problem getting these back from benchmade.
I'm not leo first responder or military

Benchmade LIFETIME LIFESHARP SERVICES WITH EVERY PURCHASE

https://www.benchmade.com/lifesharp-service

I've used this service twice over the last 18 years and never had any problems. Each time my knife was factory sharpened, inspected, reconditioned and returned to me without any issues.

I now see that there are special considerations that need to be met if returning an automatic opening knife to Benchmade.

Apparently there is an Auto Knife Opening Acknowledgement Form that must be completed and sent in with the knife.

This is from Benchmade’s website, and, it’s on the form previously posted. I would give them a call, but, it appears they will ship to one of their dealers if you don’t meet any of the exceptions.

From the AKO Acknowledgement Form: "Federal law prohibits shipment of automatic knives across state lines, with the following
exceptions".....

So I just bought a BM "AK" from an online Blade store in another state. ....They didn't ask didly about my "exemptions".
Auto knives are legal here, what to do???

You can buy auto knives from almost any online knife shop, you just can’t have BM send you the knife back for warranty.

OP, I called and asked if I can send them the knives, have them reconditioned and then pick them up on vacation. Something to think about

So my B*tchmade knife is serrated, and has many rust. Does this warranty work for it?
Last I heard, the warranty doesn't cover serrated knives.

You won't get back an auto if your not legal to own in home state.

Benchmade specifically says on website you must have auto knives returned thru licensed state dealer.

I’ve used their lifesharp a few times and didn’t have a problem getting the knives back. Pretty quick turnaround also.

I've never had any problem with Benchmade CS when I asked for parts. I doubt you will have any problems with a knife refurb. Just keep writing down names, dates, and numbers to ensure a smooth experience.
