1 in 30 starting July 1st, 2021?

Hello there fellow Calgunners,

I heard that Governor Newsom signed into Law (cant remember the sb #) starting July 1st of 2021, that we will only be able to purchase 1 firearm in 30 days period and that private party transfers are no longer exempt. Can you guys please clarify this? Will we really only be able to buy 1 firearm per 30 days starting July 1st of next year?

Semi auto centerfire rifles are added to the mix starting July 2021. Nothing else changes, PPT are still exempt.

27535. (a) A person shall not make an application to purchase more than one handgun or semiautomatic centerfire rifle within any 30-day period. This subdivision does not authorize a person to make an application to purchase both a handgun and semiautomatic centerfire rifle within the same 30-day period.

...

(c) This section shall become operative on July 1, 2021.
