Default modifying it

Since it's technically a bolt action rifle, can I put "evil" parts on it like a forward pistol grip, flash hider, etc? I know it's a legal question but I don't think a bolt action rifle would have the same restrictions right? Let me know if I'm wrong guys.

no vertical grip since it’s not a rifle.

How about an angled grip?

So after reading penal code 12276.1 many times I am not sure why it would be illegal to have a vertical grip on this pistol. Is there any other penal code that states this or am I reading this one wrong?

I guess it depends on the pistol itself. Mine has a “fixed” mag so it falls under a different.group.

I read that it makes it an NFA item since the barrel is short.

Because CA7 is pistol, not a rifle. No verical grip on pistol at all.

A second hand grip would convert a pistol into a Federally defined AOW, which would make it subject to the NFA.

We can get AOWs here in California, but you have to do the paperwork to make it legal *before* installing the parts.
