Veteran dies in Mexico, can VA help?
Hi guys, without going into too much detail, I believe my father has passed away in Mexico. DNA was taken from both myself, and the body and is being compared. If the ID comes back positive, can the VA help with transport of the body or anything else? Thank you help friends.

Call your local County VSO (Veteran Service Officer) they should be able to point you in the right direction. If that doesn't help call the VA itself and talk to one of their service officers. If the VA can't help you can try the State Department, they handle US citizens who decease while abroad. Sorry for your loss.
