Easy answer. Expats who fled Kalifornia's taxes fines and fees for Texas also happened to bring their anti-gun politics with them. They then congregated in enclaves of like minded children and grew large enough to impact local elections. After years of this, they grew large enough to impact state level elections.

True, and I get that, but where are all of the Conservatives that left this state? Didn't they go to places like Idaho and Texas? I seriously thought more Conservatives left California because of the long standing nature of the liberal policies.

California is heavily Democratic/liberal, roughly 2:1 Democrat: Republican https://elections.cdn.sos.ca.gov/ror...-reg-stats.pdf

So for every Republican/conservative Californian that moves to a free state, two Democratic/liberal Californians are right behind them.
