“I’m deeply disappointed (as is the community I represent) by Gov. Brown’s veto of Senate Bill 221, to end gun shows at the Cow Palace and to stop this state agency from profiting from gun sales,” Wiener said. “While I have tremendous respect for the governor, I respectfully disagree with his decision. This issue isn’t going away, and I look forward to reintroducing the bill in our next legislative cycle.
If Newscum is elected then the Cow Palace gun show will be history.

I had no idea the cow Palace shows generated so much money. If/when Gavin Newscum becomes Gov- he'll sign the ban & the whole complex will be torn down and turned into a Transit Village. That's been his dream since he was Mayor.

As bad as brown has been, in a couple of years we’re gonna look back and refer to them as the good times as soon as newscum becomes ruler.

And just as we saw with Young that will be a step so far as to swing back into our favor.

My guess is Brown knows most of these gun regulations do no good, but he sees them as helping deliver campaign promises. But this one brings in cash, and cash is King.

Brown has never really been on a crusade against guns like Newsome or De Leon.

That’s a good question, as for the one in 30 bill. I get the extending restraining order bill. That’s Pandora’s box. Basically anyone anytime can say “ohh, I’m frightened, take his guns”. Even brown isn’t that totalitarian. Newscum however is.

It really is fun to watch all of this sometimes. Gun owners, in many cases, spend a truckload of money on this hobby. I know I have, in any event, and these leftists (much worse than a "progressive" or a "democrat") do themselves no favors taking out venues for the money.

I can see why Brown vetoed it...if not for the guns, then for the money. He knows how bad a situation this state is in with money.

I'm just curious: Let's assume for a moment the leftists win the jackpot and manage to ban, or so heavily restrict as to make it a ban, all sales of handguns that fire more than 1 bullet without reloading, private ownership of more than 20 rounds, rifles (except muskets) and associated accessories.

What can they possibly do when the only persons left with guns are the cops, the military and the criminals? Cops are already short-staffed and overwhelmed, the military is not permitted to act in an LEO capacity (Posse Cummitatus) and the criminals outnumber the cops 8-1 and are armed as well as or better than the cops?

What's worse, is some consider this veto a "win". Preventing a loss is just that - staying even.

Rationalizing Moonbeam?

No effing way, they are just the same... they always go after the low-hanging fruit on the march to ban the entire tree. It's just that the preceding governor picked the low-hanging fruit, and left the next higher level as the new low-hanging fruit.

And the anti-2nd amendment democrat party march goes on.

Respectfully disagree!
Clinton was a 100 times worse than the Kenyan clodhopper who caused the murder of 2 border patrol officers and 400 Mexicans via fast and furious ! The Kenyan married to Big Mike also gave us operation Chokepoint.

Clinton gave us attacks on gun dealers, screwy religious groups, federal facilities and a climate of unexplained mysterious deaths, like Ron Brown and others.

Clinton eliminated 2/3 FFLS by raising fees from 35 to over 600! He went after small dealers, large dealers and paid local officials to examine if an FFL was near a school or other category democrats use for propaganda! He also started the mass murder protection act known as gun free zones!

Clinton passed restrictions on magazines and rifle features and the really bad Brady Bill and a Federal AW ban.

Clinton's was so totalitarian that people in many states actually started militia groups w/o formal state approval !

I think someone has it wrong. we will not be a gun free state but a gun suppressed state because guns will always be in this state but just not noticeable or accountable anymore.

Sadly, yep. Brown has caused some major problems for us since he took office, but he at least exercised SOME restraint with the plethora or gun bills that crossed his desk. He vetoed 4 bad bills this year. Gavin has no restraint - he would indiscriminately sign them all. Vote in November.

I am certain most the Chinese AKs imported by CA importers in the 80s still reside in CA. Just never responded to the census takers.

I/we was at a restaurant last week, my GF starting taking about Gov. Brown and suggested that he lived somewhere in the area we were (we're new to Sacramento), I shat you not, 5 minutes later he walked out from behind a secluded area, where he had been dining. What are the odds?

My ballot just arrived in the mail today. It'll be completed and back in the mailbox by later tonight.

With vote-by-mail being an option for most people, not even laziness can be an excuse.
