Sorry for my lack of knowledge, I want to ask all trusted FFLs of CG, if the complete unassembled kit for a typical P80 Is still considered as gun parts and legal to purchase.
With all new crazy laws keep coming in the state, and lack of trusted source to clearly understand the law, it is very hard to keep myself up to date. Thank you very much for your time

Nope. Long answer... CA laws changed effective 07-01-2022. A "firearm precursor part" is considered a "firearm" and no longer considered a non-firearm part. In order to be CA legal: 1. The P80 must be marked/engraved by a 07-FFL, so that it has the 07-FFL's info and a serial number. [PC 23920(a)] 2. It must be transferred (DROS/10 day wait) to you through a CA FFL dealer. [PC 27545] 3. Legally, it can only be used to make a dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistol or a dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistol. In addition, in order to remain CA legal, it must remain configured as a dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistol or a dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistol. [PC 29182(e)(2)]

Thank you for your kind respond. It came to my curiosity seeing multiple post on Armlist for P80 complete kit. Without you and other knowledgable personnel on this page, myself and other rookies might have already made a felon

Would be multiple felonies for making it into a prohibited weapon (assault weapon, SBR, SBS, MG, etc) and possessing it. Would be a felony to conceal carrying it. Would be a felony for having it loaded in public.
