Default Drawing from appendix with traditional button down or similar style shirts

man...can someone give me advice on how you guys draw from appendix carry with a traditional button down/flannel/ or similar style shirt? I've been practicing draw from appendix and with a regular t shirt/polo shirt i'm good to go since those materials tend to stretch a bit but...with a dress shirt or something similar..the fabric doesn't stretch very much and 9/10 times if i'm drawing fast...when i pull the shirt up to clear the gun/holster, the rear of the shirt gets caught up or since the material doesn't stretch much, the grip to pull up the shirt ultimately just loses contact when the shirt binds...

now admittedly, the shirt isn't super loose and i know that's recommended but i'm trying to still stay within a good fit because i'd like for it to appear like nothing is there even with a "slimmer fit"/fitted shirt on...I don't want to wear overly baggy/loose fitting clothes because i'm short...and that makes me look even shorter...haha.

What are some tips you guys have for a quick efficient draw from appendix when wearing more dressier clothing like button downs, etc.

Thanks!

I use both hands to lift my tighter shirts. Not as fast as my looser fitting shirts but I get it done.

Try leaving the last button unbuttoned. That way you have some room to clear the shirt.

Assuming you have some length in the shirt where it’s feasible.

This plus go up one size. Make sure to avoid the currently fashionable tapered shirts. The bottom should be as wide as the shirt at the arm pits.

Untuckit classic fit work well to hide full sized guns.

When you are going to shoot with 2 hands, the support hand will pull the material right where the holster is and not along the centerline like with a t shirt. If using a one handed draw, grab fabric at around 230 and pull up, pin with forearm and draw.

I wear normal size slim shirts that are buttoned down and this is what works for me.
