Swede CG63 in 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser. Receiver drilled and tapped and a Tom Farrel 20 moa base installed, topped with a Leupold 3.5x-10x. Shoots 3/4 moa from the bench. I can hit pretty much anything I aim at out to 1000 yards.

I have posted this one before in other pic threads. She is precise, but heavy at 15lbs loaded with all her kit on her.

20% Give or take...

The receiver as you mention. Plus the original MOD 0 comes with a regular buffer instead of the Enidine Hydraulic Buffer the I have on mine. The pistol grip should be an A2 instead of the SPR. The bolt carrier (original has an M16 BC), NO KNS anti-rotating pins, MI QD Sling Adaptor or adjustable Butt plate.

Leupold 6.5-20x50 Mark 4 LR/T w/Illum. TMR is on the FN SPR.
U.S. Optics 3.2-17x SN-3 is on the AIAW.

Nope, even the .408 mags are small compared to the .50. And yes, it's a .50 BMG. Thinking about getting a .408 or .338 Lapua barrel for it though. I've got a few more mods planned for it too.

Stavros, man I have been looking at that upper for a while now. Always wanted to ask if anyone had experience with it. Looks better that the pic on web/cato.

I think they have the kit (minus stipped lower) for just under $1,000. Did you order yours directly from JT or find it for less elsewhere? If so, can you share how much and where.

By the way I was thinking of adding the same stock and pistol grip and had no idea scope wise. Nice pics. Nice looking rifle.

I ordered just the upper from J&T directly, it was like mid $600s at the time I think. The upper shoots well, sub MOA 10 round groups are common. I just wish I could find somewhere to take it out a bit further. The longest I shot was 350ish to 400 yards, and the funny thing was, it was easier to get smaller MOA groups out further. I was getting like .9-1 inch groups at 100, but then getting 2.5 inch groups at 350. Higher magnification optics definitely helped there.



I went cheap with the scope on this rig, but I was surprised with what I got for $215. I was thinking about upgrading the optic later, but changed my mind. Ill be saving the Leupy Mk4 for the SPR build I am doing next. Here is a rendering of the SPR along with the heavy gun.

Yes it does, a lot of benefit to a brake.
- Reduction in Recoil
- Quicker Follow Up
- Increased Comfort
- Shoot longer

FWIW: .308 Win by all means can be shoot without a brake & its really personal preference, but my shoulder thanks me & helps me focus on shooting/less fatigue from long hours of shooting. Especially nice shooting standing, & sitting w/ follow up shots.

PLUS +:
- w/ VAIS Brake you can remove it & thread on a muzzle cap without worrying of your brake timing changing from removal/install from cleaning.
- Also the multi port across the brake really is very effective, also w/ the VAIS its on par with a non-braked .308, a side port brake on the other hand is a lot more nosier

upload your images to places like

www.imagevenue.com

and they will show how to post pics once it's hosted on their server...
