UNIVERSAL FIREARMS MODEL 1003

I just acquired a never fired Universal Firearms model 1003 Serial number 390***. From what I can find out it is a M1 Carbine 30 cal? It has a plastic single fire insert and a larger maybe 10 round magazine. Any information about this rifle greatly appreciated

upon further review the plastic insert is a shorter mag..also this rifle might be what they call a REDUX it has a lever that holds the bolt back
