Default Rattlecanned Chassis'd R700 .308 AAC-SD

Basecoat: Rustoleum Texture in Desert Bisque
Topcoat: Rustoleum Camo in Sand

Remington 700 Tactical AAC-SD 308Win
XLR Industries Carbon chassis
Timney trigger
Primary Arms Platinum Series 6-30x56FFP w/ACSS HUD DMR Reticle
Precision Armament M4-72 Severe-Duty Compensator
Magpul mag

Went to ITTS Sniper I training a couple weeks ago and shot out to 950 yards

Then decided to rattlecan the rifle. I've previously done a couple of AR's so not a stranger to doing this and I don't really have anything I consider a safe queen, all of them are used.

Awesome job! was it just Krylon? I'm thinking of doing something similar. Or did you use something from Brownells?
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks.
First two lines of my post...just Rustoleum, both paints available at Walmart. Nothing else.

I did a rattlecan kryptek pattern but finished it off with clear Brownell’s Alumahyde. As long as your prep work is good to keep the rattlecan paint on the stock it’s pretty durable. Although I used Fusion camo colors.

Thanks. I’ve never seen the rustolium texture paint before that’s why I asked it it was Brownells. I’ll have to look closer at the different paints next time I go to the store. Thanks again.

I’ve never used this Rustoleum Texture paint until now. I was at a Sniper training course run by ITTS recently and one of the rental rifles owned by Uncle Scotty Reitz had this paint and he called it out. I’ve used the Camo line of paints for my AR’s which I’ve been pleased.

You may want to add a couple coats of matte clear as a protectant but I’m not looking for a permanently pretty finish myself.

Nicely done! When you prep properly and let things dry it’s amazing how durable spray paint is. It’s not ceracoat, but it’s fun and easy to do. And most of us aren’t running around abusing or even shooting our guns these day! Best part is if you change your mind you can repaint it!

To add to that, some guns, like AR’s, look great with that worn spray paint look.

Awesome job.
