1964 39a over 1958 336 30-30 - this pair sat in a rack above the family room door for over 40 years hence the desperate need of professional cleaning..

grandfather carved gunstocks for Reinhart Fajen over 30 years but the only stock set he carved for a gun we own is that 336..

1984 BLR81 308 - dad bought this rifle from store owner Tim Campbell at Show Me Gun store in Grain Valley while I was picking out my first deer rifle which turned out to be a Remington 7400 243

I really like vintage scopes so while we're here, note the unusual scope and mount on the model 100

I went to Arizona a few years ago, and picked up a few more of my dad's old revolvers and Marlins, to add to the collection shown on page one.. Here's a circa 1920 32 WCF Marlin 1894, and a pair of S&W revolvers from the same era, in the same caliber, and the same Marlin with a couple of older brothers; 1881 45 Gov't and 1895 38-56 All of them have the correct model tang peep sights, too, which is pretty cool! 32-20s.jpg

Dude thats is a gorgeous browning.
After my 13 year old daughter saw it when we went to the range, i think it caught her attention, she never mentioned anything about my lever actions until she saw this.
I happened to stubble on a browning BL22 which I had no idea they made a lever action, so I bought it for her, refurbished it 100%, but she doeesnt know I have it, gonna give it to you for her bday.
Just hope she doesnt ask me for the same mods I did to mine haha

Finally got one in .45 Colt. Been on the lookout for one for years. It's a Henry Big Boy. Nothing fancy, but it works.



Scope is a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40, assembled in USA. Some of you may remember the closeouts that EuroOptic had some years back when Zeiss stopped making these. This is one of those scopes. The reticle is the standard Duplex, which should be great for the effective range of this rifle (100 yards) and considerably more. The mount is an EGW Picatinny mount, and the rings are those new EGW Keystone rings, 1" diameter, 0.850" ("low") height. You can see that the ocular bell just clears the scope mount.

Yes, the scope is mounted somewhat unconventionally. Both rings are indeed on the ocular (rear) side of the tube. This was done in order to get proper eye relief. That's also why I'm glad I had the EGW Keystone rings. Those things are not just tall, but also pretty beefy and made in USA. I like 'em.

I need a 39. Not sure why, but... you kind of said why I guess. Although I don't think a Marlin has ever been as pretty as a Winchester.

My 3rd Model Winchester 1873, original everything, 44-40, Octagon barrel.... and I have shot it. Certainly not my only 'lever gun' but just happens to be the one I took a photo of. ( Maybe I'll get the whole gang out for a family photo. )
